snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Everwood -- Ephram/Amy (yumerio))
I heard this song on the season finale of 'Medium' and I liked it. Luckily the network said the name and the artist after the show ended so I could go and buy it.

Speaking of which, I had to go and set up my own account on iTunes. I had been using mom's, but I got one of my own. I bought two songs so far. This one and "One More Time" by Daft Punk. So that's what, $2.00. I think I can swing that.

I was going through some of the little things I put in my shadowbox and a thought came through my head. "If I died tomorrow, would anyone know why I have some of these things?" Such as a stone I have in a ring case. Why? Well, I had a very active imagination as well as a tendancy to be a wee bit eccentric. I picked it up during gym in junior high school and sort of adopted it (along with, ironically, another friend of mine. I wasn't the only eccentric in junior high). It seems I don't have the heart to get rid of it, so 'Rocky' stays where he is. Don't give me that look...

I injured my finger yesterday loading some stuff from my trunk onto a dolley to bring inside. It's nothing serious, but a bruise on the inner knuckle of my left middle finger. Hell, I injured a finger moving out, it makes sense I'd injure one moving in. I iced it some yesterday so the swelling has gone down. It's nice and purple.

I'm thinking of burning some of the Tori songs onto a CD so I can listen to them somewhere other than on my computer. Especially during this week since I won't be on it as much due to the unloading time schedule we're on.

I plan on doing more of that today as well. Mostly I'm going to look through more boxes and also vacuum bag some of my stuffed animals I have in there. I have to go tomorrow and buy more vacuum bags so I can vacuum and store some of the ones I had in a storage bin which has since broken while in storage for six months. I kinda like the vacuuming thing, so it's no biggie, really. I also have to go through some of my bathroom stuff anfd try and condense a couple of boxes. Joy. It'd be a lot easier if I could find the black thingys I need in order to put my cart together.

Watched 'Everwood' last night. We're getting close to the end. It's a little bittersweet actually. But, things may be looking up for some of my fave couples, so all is gold.

After I post this, I have to go offline again in order to finish unpacking and stuff. I'll be back on later tonight in order to peruse my FL.

Trivia of the day: William Henry Harrison served the shortest term of any U.S. president. He served only 32 days, from March 4 to April 4, 1841. He fell ill with pneumonia shortly after his inauguration and never recovered.

I think it originally said "smiles" but I like "smites" better.

Well, I have a bit of a task before me. I need to unload the boxes with bathroom stuff and kitchen stuff from the POD and try and find a place for it. Yeah, right. Space is limited as it is. I also want to try and find some more of my books and put them away so I can get my bookshelf finished and can eventually move onto something else. *sigh* I just want this to be over with so I can get back to my life. Argh!!

I was able to pick up the latest issue of Shojo Beat yesterday. the chapters of 'Kaze Hikaru,' 'Absolute Boyfriend' and 'NANA' were all good, but I don't feel like summarizing them at the moment.

I watched the newest episode of 'Everwood' last night. Poor Bright. He's really missing Hannah, but he has no one but himself to blame. I mean, I think she was the very first person he really truly loved and cared about, but he had to go and blow it. *shakes head*

I also taped 'Grey's Anatomy' last night, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I hope to sometime today.

I downlodead the finale of Veronica Mars from BitTorrent and then did the client. Yeah, I know I saw it already, but sometime in multiple viewings you can catch things you miss.

Well, I gotta go! I need to take my allergy medicine since I know I'll be kicking up a lot of dust.

Trivia of the day: Phobos, one of the moons of Mars, is so close to its parent planet that it could not be seen by an observer standing at either of Mars poles. Phobos make three complete orbits around Mars every day.

Yesterday was a semi-long day for me.

First, I had to drop by the temp agency so I could give them a hard copy of my resume that was asked for. I had originally left one with my application weeks ago, but I think it's for their files and therefore not available to be given out to potential employers. I tried e-mailing it a few times, but the first attempt was fruitless since it got bounced back to me for some reason. I sent it a second time, but I got no response so I thought I'd hand one over in person. The lady I gave it to asked me if I had gone through the orientation to which I said I had. She mentioned that she had some openings for a data entry position. I was interested, but I said that I wanted my resume to go to the guy who had originally trained me since he had said he might have an opening for me. But, if that doesn't pan out, I know I have other options available for me.

Then, afterwards I went to the bank since I needed to drop off my deposit being as it's the first of the month. I was thinking of something to do for lunch, but I wasn't really hungry then, so I decided to wait.

I went down to the bookstore so I could browse and see if any new manga had come in. It hadn't. So I left there and went to Target to browse there. Big mistake. I was mostly in the DVD section and I saw several DVD's I wanted. And yes, I saw the reduced price 'Veronica Mars' Season One set. I might've bought it if I hadn't already put it on my birthday list. It sat on the shelf, taunting me. The reduced price is good until the 22nd, so...

After leaving Target empty handed (which was just as well), I went to PetSmart so I could get some cat food. Since Wal-Mart was practically next door, I went to get some TP. I needed some milk, but I wanted to wait until I finished everything else before I got that.

Since I still had some time to kill before my next appointment, I went and loitered at CVS for a few minutes. Then, it was time to go to the shrink's office.

Now, I wasn't there to see the doc, I was there to see her receptionist. She's a friend of my mom's and she had asked if I wanted to come by and see what she does since she wants to see if I can fill in for her if need be. I didn't say yes, but I did say I'd go and see what it entailed. It was OK. Then the doctor finished her last appointment and wanted to see me. *gulp* I think she thought I was definitely going to say yes, because she kept asking me some questions (which is why she's a shrink I guess). I tried not to sound as though I was fully commited to doing it, because to be frank, I was more interested in the data entry field. I told her I didn't know when I'd be available since I was already 'involved' with the temp agency. She seemed to think I was working directly for the temp agency (which in a way I am. Sorta) since she kept asking if she should call them to work something out. I then said it wasn't so much them that was the issue, but whatever company they farm me out to. I'd have to work with their schedule, not the temp agency's. Besides, the company may want to hire me on a permanent basis and then I wouldn't be available at all. She seemed to understand after I explained it to her. I mean, it didn't seem like a hard job or anything, it's just I'm not particularly interested into doing the whole 'medical office reception/secretary' type thing, which is why I never applied for them when positions became open at the doctor's office where mom works. Just *shudders* But I did say I'd think it over and then let them know. I do feel sorta bad since our friend may need someone to fill in for her and there won't be anyone.

Anyway, after that was all over and done with, I then went on to Sonic to eat me a burger. They have pretty decent burgers there. Usually I'd get me a hot dog or something like that, but ever since they went to nothing but foot long, I had to look to something different. And I naturally got my grape slushie. Yums!

I went to Best Buy to see what DVD's they had. They always had a decent selection of anime DVD's there and that's where I went to look for most of them. I didn't get anything there though...

Then it was onto the bookstore to see if they had any manga there. No, nothing new. But I did pick up a few anime magazines and some more books by the one author who writes mysteries set in the Edo Era. I got like, four of those, so I had a decent haul.

Finally, I got my milk. I had to use a $10 bill since I didn't have enough coinage to buy it. I was a little upset about that, but I needed the milk. I only had a bout a spit left anyway.

Mom and I had intended to haul more stuff to the storage place, but she was kinda tired when she got off work, so we didn't. She said definitely today though, so we'll have to wait and see.

'Everwood' last night was a bit intense. Hannah (as well as Amy and Ephram) found out about Bright's little screw-up. Naturally she was very upset. So, I don't know what the fallout is going to be since it happend at the end of last night's episode. I really hope we have television access next week so we can catch the season enders to some of our shows. This move is happening at a really bad time.

Tonight I'll be able to catch 'Veronica Mars' since I'll be home instead of at Bible Study. I just hope I can catch next week's finale.

Our housing sitch hasn't changed much. Mom called yesterday and the lady said it's still the 11th. I'm praying for a bit of a miracle here. I mean, my aunt did say we could stay with them, but she's allergic to cats, so we need somewhere for them to go for a week. *is trying not to panic*

I did see that there are six different manga volumes I want to get this month. RK 26, FMA 7, ES 1, SDK 18, DN 5 and TriMax 9. This isn't counting the shoujo ones that may be released. Now I know why there's the saying, "Crack is Cheaper."

Trivia of the day: Actor Robert Mitchum served time on a Georgia chain gang as a teenager. He had been arrested for vagrancy.

No, you're not reading the time wrong. I am in fact, posting at almost 10:00 at night. Why, you may ask? Simple. Life beckoned me for two days, so I went to it.

Seriously, my dad came to visit me for a couple of days, so I was with him doing stuff as opposed to posting. Which is also why I didn't post yesterday. Actually, the real reason he came down (from Michigan) was to help my grandma move her things from across the state to the apartment she got in Michigan closer to where my dad lives. So, while she packed her things, he decided to drop by and pay me a visit for a bit. It was nice. We had fun. We did a bunch of different things like go to the zoo and go on an airboat ride and stuff. I had wanted to see 'V for Vendetta' with him, but I guess we were too late, because it wasn't in theaters anymore. *shrugs*

Anyway, onto other things: Read more... )

So, needless to say, a few of my fandoms have spit in my eye lately. *flails*

I also starting reading a new book series (What? Another one?) They're by Laura Joh Rowland. It's a detective series set in fudal Japan. I'm more than halfway through the first book I got (although not the first one in the series) called The Concubine's Tattoo. I want to get the rest of them. Isn't that all I need. Yet another book obsession...

I just got finished cleaning out the dresser I've been using. The lady we live with is going to be selling it this weekend at her yard sale, so she needs it 'available.' I've packed as much of my stuff as I can into my suitcases. I managed to get it all in there, with a bit of luck and persistance. She's also going to be selling my bed. Luckily I have a sleeping bag I can crash on. It might prove interesting. Now I'll get to truly sleep Japanese style!!

Well, I'm going to try to catch up with two days worth of Friend's List. Wish me luck...*whimpers*

Trivia of the day: President Benjamin Harrison and the first lady never touched the light switches themselves when electric lights were installed during the renovation of the White House in 1891. Fearing shock, they would call for a servant whenever they wanted the lights on or off.

You know, I keep thinking of these witty things to put in my journal, but by the time I get around to posting anything, I've forgotten them. Maybe I should keep a little notebook around my neck so I can remember what it is.

The house is beginning to look like a war zone. The lady we're staying with is going to be moving to North Carolina soon, so she's been packing up her things and things are in a bit of a disarray. So far we haven't heard anything about the potential housing situations we've looked into. I'm doing my best to hang on, but it's getting to be very hard. *sighs* I just have to hope that something comes along soon. I know, I've bored everyone with all of this stuff a lot, and for that I apologize.

I haven't heard anything about the job I applied for, but then I haven't checked my other e-mail yet. I still plan on applying to the one other place so I can cover my bases. I just don't know anymore.

Dad did say something interesting to me the other day. He said that if I wanted to, I could move up to Michigan and he'd help me with my housing and employment stuff. And for the first time, I seriously considered it. I mean, I can't stay here forever. However, I can't go anywhere anyway. I have too many responsibilities here. Mom needs me especially since grandma's no longer here. *sigh*

Last night's 'Everwood' episode was really cute. It had Bright/Hannah squee in it and the big rumor surrounding Kyle online turned out to be true. Not that I thought it wouldn't, but sometimes you can't trust some of the stuff you hear online.

And I went to the bookstore yesterday and picked up a copy of RK 25 finally! I really like this volume. Why? Because Yahiko kicks ass, that's why. Now I want to pick up the latest issue of 'Shojo Beat,' because I hear the 'Kaze Hikaru' chapter in it is really cute!! And you know me and cuteness! I also bought two Dave Barry books and a couple of magazines.

Today I have vacuuming to do and dishes to put away.

Trivia of the day: There is evidence to suggest that ginger root is effective against motion sickness and nausea when taken in powdered form.

I look less like a tomato and more like Rudolph. And I'm starting to peel just a little bit. -_-

Since I'm still in love with that song, I want to share it with you. So, if you want to listen to it and see what you think, I uploaded it so that you can download and listen to it as well.

Let me know what you think!

Yesterday, we had to wash the resident dog again. Mom thought the shampoo we used on him before irritated his skin, so we used his shampoo this time. After that, we had to blow dry him, which wasn't easy. He kept squirming. Then we settled in to watch 'Everwood' after an almost 4 month hiatus! Whoo! Things look a little shaky between Ephram and Amy, but Hannah and Bright are as cute as ever! *squish* However, Amy and Hannah's friendship seems to be a bit shaky now. I'm kinda worried about what's going to be happening in the future, because from what I've read, things aren't looking good. Not just for the show in general, but for some of the characters as well. I heard there's going to be a death coming. *is worried*

I went to the bookstore yesterday and bought three manga and two CD's. Nana 2, Beauty is the Beast 1 and 2 and two Michael Bublé CD's. I still want to look for RK 25 sometime later this week. Rin still hasn't showed up, yet. *sigh*

Trivia of the day: The highly seasoned stew of meat or fish called ragout (rhymes with “blue”) is prepared without vegetables. The name is derived from French and means “to restore the appetite of.”

Man, I'd be very surprised if I don't get an ulcer from these past few days. Usually my job is fairly stress free, but working on this e-newsletter has provided a whoooole bunch. I mean, the one I did for myself was easy due to the fact that I kept it simple and informal. The one for work is a bit more complex than that. There are a lot more pictures, links and stuff plus I have to try and focus on products that I really have no knowledge about. And there have been problems with the website. I mean, all I know how to do is access the inventory list and make the changes and additions needed. As to other stuff, I ave no clue. Needless to say, my HTML skills are severely limited. A part of me feels like "OMG, I'm so totally not going to be able to do what I was hired for!" *panic panic* It doesn't help that I'm highly anxious by nature...

Anyhoo, I actually finished my tape from last week... just in time to tape 'Veronica Mars' last night. And I must say, Bright and Hannah are just so adorable!! I freely admit to squeeing a bunch when they went on their date to the carnival. And a part of me is kinda hoping that Ephram and Amy might get back together, but I'm left in doubt. I'll just wait and see. Somehow I think Ephram isn't as over her as he'd like to think...

Yesterday was definitely better. I was given an assignment and left to my own devices. Basically I was making a catalogue of the types of strings we sell. My boss later told my mom that he thought it was something that would take at least a week, but I finished it in a day. He was very impressed (as he told my mom later at a church function that I didn't go to). But I'm pretty sure there will always be something for me to do.

My computer seems to be cooperating this morning. I'll see how far I get into my FL, though. My speakers are working again, to my enormous delight. I was watching something on Homestar Runner yesterday and I turned up my speaker button just on the off chance that I could actually hear the dialogue. And lo and behold, I could hear! It was a miracle!

I was able to catch the season finale replay of 'Everwood.' I saw the moment that made me squee. You know the one with Bright and Hannah towards the end. It was in my icon I used yesterday.

*squees again*

Sometimes having to go to bed earlier really bites. I was watching a movie on TV last night and because it was on later, I had to go to bed before it was over. I was pretty upset. I'll have to rent it sometime...

Nothing much to report today, other than the fact that I'm disgusted with the happenings in London. Thankfully there were no fatalities this time around...

I was so tired yesterday and I couldn't figure out why. Then it hit me: I went walking when it was very warm out and the heat tends to zap your energy. I felt like I was running on one thruster. After the nap I took, I felt more like 3 1/2 thrusters. Today, all four.

And I discovered that 'Everwood' is going to be on at the same time as 'CSI.' Arrrgh!! Well, I'll have to tape it I guess. I already miss 'Gilmore Girls' due to the fact that I have Bible Study on those nights.

And I'm debating on whether or not to add a header to my journal. I'd have to see how difficult it would be and all that stuff. People on my friendslist probably wouldn't see it since they probably read my page from their friendslist.

I'm gonna try and find an extra disk so I can see about scanning that V/M article.
