I went to see my doctor today. He harped on me about my weight. AGAIN. Yes, I admit I gained a few pounds. Mostly from having a job where I sit all the time and lack of physical activity like I was doing before. It's not like I'm a big eater. I never have been. I don't go and horf down an entire bag of Cheetos in one sitting or anything. Plus, this is coming from a man with a very slight build who probably never had a weight issue in his life. Not everyone is meant to be stick figures there, Twiggy. Plus my stout German stock is kinda working agi'n me.

Besides, according to my WiiFit, I've lost almost 3 pounds just in this one week alone. Not too bad...

We went to a Spring Training baseball game where the Washington Nationals (the "home team") played against the St. Louis Cardinals. We got creamed pretty much. These guys are supposed to be Major League professionals? Mom and I left during the seventh inning stretch... and they hit a Grand Slam in the eighth. Typical. They still lost though it was far less embarrassing for them.

I caved and bought the two disk set of Twilight. Does that make me a bad lolfan? I still laughed in the inappropriate spots. I may watch the extras sometime too, because I do like the behind-the-scenes types stuff. I was going to watch Bolt also, but I got sucked into the 1999 version of David Copperfield with lil DanRad in it to watch it. Ahhh, well. Another time maybe.

And it seems I already bought vol. 22 of Furuba. I didn't think I had, but it must've been out early or something. I need to dig it out from wherever I stashed it and read it again to follow along with [livejournal.com profile] umadoshi's and [livejournal.com profile] flamika's reviews.

I didn't exercise as long today because the Red Tide has come ashore and exercising during high tide isn't very fun at all...

Well, the Epic Check of DOOOOM® still continues to kick my ass. I will lick it, dammit!!!! I WILL!!!

I went and bought WALL-E yesterday along with Hellboy II and Legend (back when Tom Cruise was sill relatively sane). More and more of the movies we saw over the summer are coming out on DVD soon. I think Mamma Mia! comes out before the month is over...

Right now I'm waiting for the cable guy to come. We're upgrading our land line to digital and someone is supposed to be home between 5:00 and 7:00. The message he left on the machine said he'd be here at 5:15 but so far, nothing. But they never come when they say they're supposed to. Still, it was nice getting home before dark for once...

We had a Thanksgiving potluck at work today. I brought my Oreo Cookie desert. People seemed to like it. Well, concidering the fact that I was specifically requested to bring it having brought it to a baby shower months ago, I'd say that means people liked it.

Hmmm, short post today. Not as short as yesterday's though...

Hey everyone. Have a nice weekend? Mine wasn't bad. Went to a friends house and we watched Iron Man on DVD. It kicked ass like always. I chatted with her roommate a little. He seems nice. The three of us might do another movie night sometime in the future, we don't know for sure. It's more of a "wait-and-see" type of thing really. We might watch Transformers next since neither Michele nor I had seen it yet. I know, for shame...

Mom and I also watched Iron Man over the weekend. Not that I minded watching it twice in two days. Hell, I watched it three times when it was still in theaters. I also watched Speed Racer as well.

I went and bought The Force Unleashed over the weekend. I haven't played it yet since I hadn't really had the chance. I hope to next weekend. I know [livejournal.com profile] rurouni_jedi kinda had mixed feelings about it, but it looks to be pretty neat, so I'll give it a whirl. I look forward to the Ghostbusters game coming next July. Heee!

I read the interview [livejournal.com profile] jaina had with Tite Kubo in the latest AI. He's a lot younger than I thought he'd be! He's younger than I am! That's kinda cool. It was a cool interview!

I need to upload the books I bought onto My GoodReads account and then pick up some spaghetti for dinner. Hasta!

I just got back from the gym. Mom and I are trying to make going three days a week a regular thing. They say exercise helps to alleviate stress and depression. Both of which I have to various degrees. The only thing is, going after work means everyone goes after work.

Of course, I had to stop and wash my car beforehand due to the fact that a tree shit on my car. Yes, you read that right. A tree shit on my car. I try to park in a somewhat shaded area at work, but the trees excrete some... substance and they like to target my car. *siiiiigh*

Work today was interesting. First we we updated on a meeting that our supervisor went to and she relayed the info to us. Then, we had a lunch in recognition of PFS Week (or a combo of that and another month with no errors).

Toward the end of the day, I was checking my checks to see if there were any errors. Well, apparently I forgot to post some of them. They're double sided, so I posted one side, but not the other. Usually I don't do that, but today I noticed I did it twice. I just hope I don't have any more...

And, I don't think I'll be able to go to Dragon*Con this year, [livejournal.com profile] tenel_ka. Yeah, I'm disappointed too. But I have to save for vacation this year as well as our eventual move to Tennessee. T_T I really want to go, especially since Shea said she wanted to come and all, but financially I don't see how it's possible...

I was able to find a copy of MST3K vol. 10.2 at Best Buy this weekend! Whooo! I watched me Giant Spider Invasion much to my delight. I also bought vol 2 of Mythbusters.

Well, I mixed up my nummy-yummy TriLyte and put it in the fridge to chill. According to the instructions, it's supposed to taste better chilled. We'll see. I added cherry flavoring to it to see if it improves the taste. I keep having flashbacks to to horrible stuff I had to drink when I was in the hospital 7 1/2 years ago...

I just hope I'm able to get of of work at a decent time tomorrow. For one thing, I'll be feeling pretty crummy since I'll be consuming nothing but liquids the entire day. I need to eat regularly or else I get headaches. Fun fun.

The one reason I'm looking forward to all of this is because I get a day off of work... let's be honest here.

I got my set of Count Duckula DVD's today! I know what I'll be doing tomorrow! I also got the latest volume of Kaze Hikaru, which I'll be reading soon. Hopefully I'll be able to play my new Naruto game sometime too.

Speaking of which, is it me or does Jiraya have his nose pierced? Look at a color manga image sometime. Instead of being flesh-colored, the "mole" he has is colored... silver. Trufax!

That's right! It finally came! I'm really excited. I saw some video of people playing it on wii. com and it looks super fun!

Guess what else came! My new laptop bag!! It's just the right size! It even has a cell phone pocket and a cup holder inside!

The majority of my weekend was spent watching a mini-marathon of The Office. Such fun. I also was loaned a couple of Tori DVD's to watch as well. I need to find a time to watch them sometime too, although I might buy me a set of my own!

Of course, a good chunk of my weekend was spend basking in the glow of being right! I was posting on my fandom journal [livejournal.com profile] ryudoshi about the three volumes of Naruto I bought and read. I was looking up images on Wikipedia to explain about my theory about Naruto being the son of the Fourth Hokage. Well, imagine my surprise when it was indeed confirmed to be true. Of course, the fact that they looked so similar was a big honkin' clue right there. We also "meet" his mommy, whom he gets his surname and his personality from.

Seeing as this was apparently unveiled in September sometime thereabouts and considering I've been a bit removed from the fandom while the anime is airing the fillers here in the US, this isn't new. But to me, it is! so yay!

IT CAME!!!!! My Princess Tutu box set!!!! *squees with joy* Now I can watch the rest of the series at my leisure and squee at the cuteness (and cry at the sadness)!

For some reason, I can't seem to find volume 7 of Kaze Hikaru in the bookstores. Usually, they're pretty good about keeping up with the releases, but it's been a couple of weeks and still nothing. I may have to break down and order it from Amazon (as well as the missing volumes of Emma I need).

I left work a bit early today. Ostensibly under the pretense of getting my lab work done for my appointment, but I probably could've waited a bit longer. There was basically nothing left for me to do anyway, so I just cashed it in and left early.

Next week looks to not be a fun one for me. Not only did I not get my regular insurance checks this week, but I'll have the ones from this week and next week to post as well as whatever fee tickets I happen to get. On top of that, next week is not only the end of the month, but the end of the quarter as well. Let the fun begin!!! /sarcasm

Mom and I are still figuring out what exactly we want to do when we're at St. Augustine for the long weekend. There's a lot of neat stuff and relatively little time to do it in. I'm sure we'll have fun no matter what.

Here's hoping that everyone has a pleasant and safe holiday. And I wanna wish [livejournal.com profile] kawaiiayu a happy birthday! As you can see, I once again have failed to produce your scarf... T_T I'll to keep plugging away and maybe mail it to you in time for your 80th birthday...

Man, it seems like every weekend I have gets sucked away... *siiiiigh* Saturday was mostly spent running errands, but they needed to be done. Before that though, mom went to her Weight Watchers meeting and I was catching up on some shows I had recorded but never got a chance to watch before.

We went to the camera store and mom was drooling over a camera case she wants. We then had lunch at a nearby diner where we ate the the counter, which I though was kinda fun. I liked watching the servers banter with the customers, each other and the cooking staff. That's the people watcher in me.

We then went to Best Buy to look at washer/dryers. I also bought the Bleach box set and a few other DVD's. I saw the Guitar Hero III on the shelves and subsequently drooled.

We then got groceries and called it a day. We didn't get home until about 4:30 or so. I spent the rest of the day mostly watching my Bleach episodes.

Sunday I woke to discover that a bird (or, more likely an entire FLOCK) decided to use my car as target practice. So I had to drive to church with my car marked up. *fnarl*

After church got out, I grabbed a bite and went home, ate and changed my clothes. Then I took my car to get washed of it's new "paint job." After that, I went home, started on some laundry and uploaded more CD's onto my iTunes.

I also watched the first disk of Princess Tutu. I LOVE it!!! *squeeee* Duck is so adorkable!! And I think I have a slight crush on Fakir. I was so enamored (even from just watching the first five episodes) that I bought the yet-to-be released box set from Amazon! I know the series gets darker as it progresses, but I have a feeling it's a definite keeper.

And I bought gas today after work... at $3.12 a gallon!!!!!! Holy !#*@#$&&)@#(!!!!!

New episode of Heroes tonight. After last week's shocker, I wonder what other surprises are in store?

So this weekend was a pretty full one.

Saturday, mom went with my aunt to a High School Marching Band competition. It was mostly bands from our area, though. My high school got high marks, so that was good to hear. It took them most of the day.

I was out getting my tires realigned, which took an hour and a half for some reason. After I finished with that, I headed over to Best Buy in a fruitless attempt to buy the Bleach box set that's supposedly out. So I decided to get the individual disks instead along with King Kong and Hellboy as well as a few more games for my DS and some guide books. I did this despite the fact that I have no room to put them...

Then I went to the bookstore to "browse" and ostensibly buy another Tori Amos CD so I can get in the mindset for the concert on the 18th. Not a tremendous amount of selection, however. I did buy a magazine and a book on iPods, so it wasn't a complete loss.

Then I swung by the mall to have a look around in the hopes of perhaps buying another pair of work pants. No such luck, however. I did get friendly with a few kittens at the pet store! ^_^

I bought a pair of shoes and had lunch then went home. I played more Wii and got a good workout with the boxing game, actually. And I totally got a knockout! Awesome! I also played more Bleach and then I watched a couple of movies: The most recent live action version of Peter Pan and Night At The Museum. Very cute! I played some Tetris DS a bit too.

Sunday was really busy as well. After church, mom and I went looking for a pair of penny loafers for mom's costume for Wednesday. The theme of her office is the 1950's. We searched almost the whole mall before we found some at JC Penney's. They were men's since women's doesn't have a pair of genuine penny loafers. I also got me some super cute hats while I was there (not at Penney, at another store). I have pictures even!

The rest of Sunday was spent at home, relaxing. I took a nap for longer than I had wanted to. When I do, I generally have trouble sleeping later that evening, and I certainly did. In fact, I'm surprised I'm as alert as I was when I woke up this morning despite the fact that my brain wouldn't shut up.

I saw the second episode of Death Note Saturday. Needless to say, I love L's voice! It's the same actor who portrays Lt. Gaeta on BSG. Neat! And Light is beginning his decent nto madness. Fun fun.

And, despite the fact that the Red Tide decided to make an appearance, it's been pretty mild so far. Thankfully.

And I finally have a decent version of PhotoShop on my laptop! Whee!! I'm a little rusty, but I'm sure my skills will pick up again. Not that my skills were all that fantastic to begin with...

And I've yet to figure out how to insert pictures from my Scrapbook onto my client. Hrmmm...

This weekend was fun, if a little short.

The tea/luncheon was very pleasant. We stayed and chatted for several hours and it was very nice. However it did eat up a lot of time, but it was time well spent.

That night, I played some more of my Wii and tried out my new Bleach game. It. Is. Awesome. However, by the end of my session, I felt like my arm was about to fall off. If I was more creative, I'd have drawn a little cartoon of me standing and holding my Wii controller and nunchuck and looking at my right arm on the floor. The caption would read, "Dude, and that was only the training level." Hee!

I didn't fare too badly, despite the fact that I was dueling Renji and he has Zabimaru which can stretch... the dirty (but pretty hot) cheater. I was able to go Bankai (since I was playing as Ichigo) and knock him down several times though.

I was able to catch the Death Note anime. I thought I was pretty decent. I liked the voices of Light and Ryuk. Never having seen the Japanese version, it seemed pretty faithful.*shrugs* I dunno...

Sunday I went to church and afterward I stopped by Best Buy to look for some DVD's. I found the third Hellsing Ultimate, which will probably be the last one unless another company picks up the rights... *grumble* But still... PIP!!! *squee*

Then I stopped by the bookstore to primarily browse, but that hardly ever ends up being the case with me and bookstores... I picked up the latest volume of Vampire Knight (and I'm still rooting for Yuki/Zero even though I do kinda like Kaname). I also got a few magazines and a copy of Anne frank: The Diary of a Young Girl. I read it before in High School and I really liked it and it's one of those books that's a must have.

Later that afternoon, I was gonna watch some DVD's, but I was running out of room in my media cabinet, so I went through some of my old video tapes and got rid of what I didn't need anymore. My MST's and Star Trek however are forbidden from being touched.

I started watching volume two of The Office. My favorite episode thus far has top be the one with the fire drill and where Dwight takes the bottle of water from the top of the water cooler and tosses water in the hallway then proceeds to crawl on his stomach to the exit. HAR!!

Mom spent most of Sunday at the tire place getting her tires changed and then at my aunt's helping her clean for Christmas. Early? For most people, yes. My aunt is the queen of Christmas. She has over half a dozen different trees, each with it's own theme. It's all very lovely, but a lot of work.

It's still not to late to send me your full name and your year of birth for a little gifty thing I'm doing. It works best if I have more people. So far I only have two of you. Let's get on the ball, peoples!!!

And finally, a meme I swiped from [livejournal.com profile] flamika:

The Best Bleach Boyfriend for You
Your Result: Kurosaki Ichigo

You secretly desire a guy who you'll hate on your first date. His impeccable style and general coolness will drive you nuts. Against your better judgment you'll still go out with him even if you do nothing but argue. He'll be aloof and standoffish, but somehow along the way he'll show you his tender side without too many words. Once he falls for you, he will fall hard, so beware. Even when you try to get rid of him, he'll just stalk you to the ends of the earth, beat down on your defenses, and make you his. Be prepared for a lifetime of passion and heroics: it's going to be one wild ride.

Soooo, I went to Best Buy yesterday since they had an ad in the newspaper for Wiis. Needless to say, I crapped out. I could've gone early in the morning and not gone to church, but I think that would've been frowned upon. Besides, even if I had, there would be no guarantee I'd have gotten one.

So I resorted to what I should've done in the fist place: order online. It should be arriving sometime this week, I hope. I was able to order the Bleach game as well as the Zelda Twilight Princess one.

I bought a few DVD's while I was there at any rate. I got a few anime ones, like the Hellsing Ultimate and Kokumono (both of which, ironically, distributed by Geanon, so any further disks are gonna be nada). I found the Muppet Show too!!! *squee* I used to watch that show all. the. time! I also found the Special Edition of Serenity also.

Most of this weekend was spent at home. I watched the first season of The Office. I laughed. A lot! Especially during the basketball episode with Dwight's headgear! Harrrrr!!

Well, today at work seemed to be back to normal. We had to use our PTO time unfortunately... I was trying to stock up since we're gonna be taking some time off around the holidays. *grumble* So now I'm in the negative zone... AGAIN! It's nothing like the twilight zone, believe me.

One of our neighbors is moving out. Since we've been here, all the people who lived here when we came have all left. I guess that's the way it is in apartments.

Well, I think that's all for now. Ta-taaaaa!!
