snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Everwood -- Ephram/Amy (yumerio))
I heard this song on the season finale of 'Medium' and I liked it. Luckily the network said the name and the artist after the show ended so I could go and buy it.

Speaking of which, I had to go and set up my own account on iTunes. I had been using mom's, but I got one of my own. I bought two songs so far. This one and "One More Time" by Daft Punk. So that's what, $2.00. I think I can swing that.

I was going through some of the little things I put in my shadowbox and a thought came through my head. "If I died tomorrow, would anyone know why I have some of these things?" Such as a stone I have in a ring case. Why? Well, I had a very active imagination as well as a tendancy to be a wee bit eccentric. I picked it up during gym in junior high school and sort of adopted it (along with, ironically, another friend of mine. I wasn't the only eccentric in junior high). It seems I don't have the heart to get rid of it, so 'Rocky' stays where he is. Don't give me that look...

I injured my finger yesterday loading some stuff from my trunk onto a dolley to bring inside. It's nothing serious, but a bruise on the inner knuckle of my left middle finger. Hell, I injured a finger moving out, it makes sense I'd injure one moving in. I iced it some yesterday so the swelling has gone down. It's nice and purple.

I'm thinking of burning some of the Tori songs onto a CD so I can listen to them somewhere other than on my computer. Especially during this week since I won't be on it as much due to the unloading time schedule we're on.

I plan on doing more of that today as well. Mostly I'm going to look through more boxes and also vacuum bag some of my stuffed animals I have in there. I have to go tomorrow and buy more vacuum bags so I can vacuum and store some of the ones I had in a storage bin which has since broken while in storage for six months. I kinda like the vacuuming thing, so it's no biggie, really. I also have to go through some of my bathroom stuff anfd try and condense a couple of boxes. Joy. It'd be a lot easier if I could find the black thingys I need in order to put my cart together.

Watched 'Everwood' last night. We're getting close to the end. It's a little bittersweet actually. But, things may be looking up for some of my fave couples, so all is gold.

After I post this, I have to go offline again in order to finish unpacking and stuff. I'll be back on later tonight in order to peruse my FL.

Trivia of the day: William Henry Harrison served the shortest term of any U.S. president. He served only 32 days, from March 4 to April 4, 1841. He fell ill with pneumonia shortly after his inauguration and never recovered.

It doesn't feel like a Monday today. It feels like a Saturday or something. I think it's because mom's stayed home because of a diverticulitis attack. While that could be true, I somehow wonder if it was becasue she wanted to get more unpacking done. Hmmm...

Anyway, she actually watched the final 'Charmed' episode that I had taped last night. I was surprised. She doesn't usually watch stuff like that. She even told me she's seen it a few times before. I was like, "Should I tell her I watch 'Buffy' too?"

I'm posting later because I spent most of the morning, you guessed it, unpacking. We kinda need to step things up a bit since we have to return the POD before next weekend so we won't get charged another month's rent. I haven't done too bad so far today. I found my missing box of books and put them on the shelf. Now I'm going through a bunch of my knicknacks and deciding what I want to keep out and what I want to go into storage again. So I have to limit my internet time. I was like, "Fine, I can do that, as long as I'm able to post and surf at somepoint in the day." Which is why I'm on now. We also got our wireless router hooked up and so now mom can surf in her room and I can surf in mine. I like it much better this way.

I also got me a new computer desk. It's very nice. Glass and metal. Very chic. I put it together all on my own, so I'm pretty proud of that to say the least. I only had a few snafus, but otherwise, smooth sailing. I don't have very much shelf or drawer space (hardly any at all, actually. Only one small shelf, really), so I have to decide what I'm going to do with some of my stuff I had in my old desk. Probably storage. Man, we're gonna have so much stuff in storage...

My progress isn't too bad. Mom's getting the kitchen put together and some of the dining room. I'm concentrating on my bedroom and eventually my stuff in the bathroom. One thing at a time, though.

I found my silver piggy bank I had gotten from my great-grandmother when I was born. I polished it up to where it practically looks brand new! I said, "It probably hasn't looked that shiny since it was new! Thirty years ago!" I also shined up some other things as well.

For some reason today I got to thinking, "Man, so many shows are biting the dust this year." 7th Heaven, West Wing, Will & Grace, Charmed, Everwood... But all good things must come to and end eventually. I am upset about Everwood ending, though. It's a good show and it hasn't been on very long, but alas, it's a casualty of the merge between UPN and WB. At least Veronica Mars is coming back.

Well, that's it for now. I'm going to see how far I get in my FL before I have to put my nose back to the grindstone.

Trivia of the day: Glaciers occupy 5.8 million square miles, or 10 percent of the world's land surface, as in an area as large as South America.

I really like this song. It's so beautiful. I also like "Black Dove (January)" and "1,000 Oceans." I seem to gravitate to her more melancholy songs for some reason. I seem to do that a lot.

Anyway, my creative muse was really active yesterday. I made some wallpapers. 'Star Wars' ones. I still want to make a MARS one (or two). I like how they turned out, actually. See for yourself.

All the images came from the 'New Essential Chronology.'

What can I say. I've been a fan ever since the "Young Jedi Knights' series. Cut me some slack.

I have a textless version of the second one, but I forgot to do one for the first one. *facepalm*

I also have accompaning icons I made. I know, I've got a sickness.

How about the end of last night's 'CSI'? Mom said to me, "I'm not surprised. They've been hinting at it all season." Well, I was sort of surprised. I had heard rumors, but I didn't know how valid they were...

And I saw the title page from Furuba chapter 127. *squiiiiiish*

I was able to vacuum bag some of my clothes last night. That's kinda neat, actually. It sucks all the air out and leaves your stuff flattened. I have more i need to do today. Hopefully I can get quite a few of my clothes put away.

Trivia of the day: The G.I. Joe toy line got its name from the 1945 movie "The Story of G.I.Joe", which retold the story of war correspondent Ernie Pyle's days on the front lines. It starred Burgess Meredith and Robert Mitchum.

I've been far too distracted lately. Too much to really complete my tasks of the day. So, no more AIM for me for awhile. I only really talk to a few people on there anyway, so it's not a major deal anyway...

Actually today's a pretty slow day really. Wednesdays usually are. I need to call the temp agency to see what's going on and I need to bring in some boxes of video tapes mom wanted to try and go through. That swimming pool is looking awfully tempting at the moment. But, work before pleasure unfortunately.

Despite the late start I had yesterday, I got a bit accomplished. I moved some boxes in the apartment and went throught them. I did find my showerhead, but I still haven't found the little brackety things I need in order to put my cart in the bathroom together. I could've sworn I put them in one of the bathroom boxes, but I went through all of them and I haven't found them yet. *sigh* I need them in order to put the shelves together so I can start putting stuff on the cart. Argh!!

I went through my closet some and put up the hanging shelves I had for my shoes and the other one I had most of my sweaters in. I think I need to get another shoe one. Like I've mentioned before, my shoe fetish is almost out of control. Also, I think we're gonna get some of those large vacuum storage bags so that we can store some stuff in them. Most of my winter clothes are gonna be stored that way.

I moved a bunch of my manga around. Some of them I put away in the little side cabinet I have and the rest I reorganized into the plastic storage boxes and put them under my bed for the time being. My other media cabinet I usually use is still in the POD and it's too heavy for me to move on my own, so it's gonna stay in there for a little while longer yet.

I put my video tapes away yesterday too, so I think that's all of the stuff that goes into my entertainment center. It's pretty full, too.

I watched another downloaded episode of 'Veronica Mars' yesterday as I was eating lunch. I want to try and watch more today if I can. I wanna get 'em watched soon...

Trivia of the day: If you were to rub garlic on the heel of your foot, it would be absorbed by the pores and eventually show up on your breath. <-- all I have to say is "Why would anyone want to do that?!"

OMG! This is such a beautiful song!!
snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (EW -- Bright/Hannah cuddle (phoenix_bell)
I think it originally said "smiles" but I like "smites" better.

Well, I have a bit of a task before me. I need to unload the boxes with bathroom stuff and kitchen stuff from the POD and try and find a place for it. Yeah, right. Space is limited as it is. I also want to try and find some more of my books and put them away so I can get my bookshelf finished and can eventually move onto something else. *sigh* I just want this to be over with so I can get back to my life. Argh!!

I was able to pick up the latest issue of Shojo Beat yesterday. the chapters of 'Kaze Hikaru,' 'Absolute Boyfriend' and 'NANA' were all good, but I don't feel like summarizing them at the moment.

I watched the newest episode of 'Everwood' last night. Poor Bright. He's really missing Hannah, but he has no one but himself to blame. I mean, I think she was the very first person he really truly loved and cared about, but he had to go and blow it. *shakes head*

I also taped 'Grey's Anatomy' last night, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I hope to sometime today.

I downlodead the finale of Veronica Mars from BitTorrent and then did the client. Yeah, I know I saw it already, but sometime in multiple viewings you can catch things you miss.

Well, I gotta go! I need to take my allergy medicine since I know I'll be kicking up a lot of dust.

Trivia of the day: Phobos, one of the moons of Mars, is so close to its parent planet that it could not be seen by an observer standing at either of Mars poles. Phobos make three complete orbits around Mars every day.
