No, you're not reading the time wrong. I am in fact, posting at almost 10:00 at night. Why, you may ask? Simple. Life beckoned me for two days, so I went to it.

Seriously, my dad came to visit me for a couple of days, so I was with him doing stuff as opposed to posting. Which is also why I didn't post yesterday. Actually, the real reason he came down (from Michigan) was to help my grandma move her things from across the state to the apartment she got in Michigan closer to where my dad lives. So, while she packed her things, he decided to drop by and pay me a visit for a bit. It was nice. We had fun. We did a bunch of different things like go to the zoo and go on an airboat ride and stuff. I had wanted to see 'V for Vendetta' with him, but I guess we were too late, because it wasn't in theaters anymore. *shrugs*

Anyway, onto other things: Read more... )

So, needless to say, a few of my fandoms have spit in my eye lately. *flails*

I also starting reading a new book series (What? Another one?) They're by Laura Joh Rowland. It's a detective series set in fudal Japan. I'm more than halfway through the first book I got (although not the first one in the series) called The Concubine's Tattoo. I want to get the rest of them. Isn't that all I need. Yet another book obsession...

I just got finished cleaning out the dresser I've been using. The lady we live with is going to be selling it this weekend at her yard sale, so she needs it 'available.' I've packed as much of my stuff as I can into my suitcases. I managed to get it all in there, with a bit of luck and persistance. She's also going to be selling my bed. Luckily I have a sleeping bag I can crash on. It might prove interesting. Now I'll get to truly sleep Japanese style!!

Well, I'm going to try to catch up with two days worth of Friend's List. Wish me luck...*whimpers*

Trivia of the day: President Benjamin Harrison and the first lady never touched the light switches themselves when electric lights were installed during the renovation of the White House in 1891. Fearing shock, they would call for a servant whenever they wanted the lights on or off.

I think I may have figurd out why my book is taking so long from Amazon. Stupid me forgot to change the address from my old one to the one I have now. I tried to change it, but it wouldn't let me since it already shipped. If I had the proper address, it would've gotten here by now. I just hope the Post Office puts a change of address label on it like it does the other stuff sent to the old address to here. *smacks self upside the head*

And I like YouTube, it's just I wish there was an easier way to find specific things. Like yesterday I went to try to look up the live-action NANA series, but I got some music videos, the trailer (which I did go ahead and watch) and a lot of videos of grandmothers. *pulls out hair* I want to find the MARS series as well on there if I can. Hopefully all of it.

And today and tomorrow I have to go and help my mom and my aunt pack up some things in my grandmother's apartment. Today was originally going to be a move in day for us, but that's not gonna happen now. *shrugs* Hopefully something else will come our way soon.

And, since I am a sheep, I jumped on the bandwagon like everyone else...

Trivia of the day: The first umbrella factory in the U.S. was founded in 1928 in Baltimore, Maryland.

*grumble* My cat puked on my bed in the middle of the night and I had gotten some on my pajama's. I need to do laundry anyway. So I'm not too happy with her...

Not only is there more packing to do today, but there's a few other things we need to take care of so we'll be dong that. Right now, mom is out getting more boxes.

Towards the end, I don't know if I'll be able to be on as much, but I'll try to at least post. I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with my FL though.

I've been watching "I Love the 80's 3D" lately. Man, I just love those nostalgia shows! And you'd think, this being the third one, they'd run out of stuff to talk about, but no, not really.

I think this one is gonna be pretty short I feel. I'm in a bit of a hurry and there really isn't a lot to post about since I've mostly been doing nothing but packing.

I'm a bit disapointed that the really good Kaze Hikaru site is down for some reason. I knew I should've saved the mirror site when I had the chance...

Man, there's so much crap everywhere. We packed yesterday like there was no tomorrow. And there's still more to be done! Argh! So I'm going to post and try to catch up with my FL before I dig in again. Plus, I have to go and do a bunch of errands today too.

I had to break out my winter pajama's last night. After Wilma came through, a cold front followed. I think it dipped into the 50's last night. It's supposed to be cold again tomorrow. I packed some of my extra blankets, so I need to drag one of them out. I was really chilly last night. The good thing about it getting cooler out is that I can break out my cider. Of course, I have no right to complain since I've been wanting it to cool down for quite some time.

We were able to take down most of the plywood except for the really big piece over the living room window. I have a feeling it's gonna take more than just the two of us to do it.

Well, aside from the packing, there's not much to report on. I mean, we have officially started the Halloween Party on ATACT and I hope to be able to post the follow up to my story soon. I don't know if I'll have time to do it much this week.

Man, I feel like I'm livin' in a tomb! We boarded up in preperation for Wilma. Right now I'm posting before the full brunt of what we're supposed to be getting hits us. Also, I need to do more packing. My doctor's appointment I was supposed to have today was cancelled as well.

Which brings exciting news! We have a place to stay until we find one of our own! Yay! And the lady we're staying with likes cats so there's no problem there. I just hope I can at least set up my computer so I can keep in touch with everyone. I mean, two weeks without internet access is pushing it, but two months!! Forget it!

I also hope to get a post office box, at least for my fandom stuff. After Wilma leaves, I plan on going to the Post Office to look into it.

I also cleaned up some stuff from my harddrive and uploaded a few things onto my photobucket account, like the images I snagged from Kaze Hikaru!

I also packed up my manga. I haven't sealed the one box yet in case I want to dip into it and read. The same goes with my one box of DVD's. Today I plan on packing up some of my bathroom stuff and some of my clothes. I have to keep some stuff seperate in order to use them while we're displaced temporarily. I have a feeling we'll need more boxes...

I don't know if I'll be able to catch up with my FL, at least for today. Hopefully I can tomorrow. So in case I don't, I'll 'talk' to you all tomorrow, if we still have power, that is...
