Today we had ice cream at work. I had a scoop of vanilla and one of chocolate. Later, I had the remains of the orange sherbet. I told mom it was a good thing we went to the gym afterward.

I was reading a new series yesterday. I liked it.

First and foremost, I wanna wish my Dad a Happy Birthday!! Dunno if I'll be able to call you tonight, however...

Another weekend come and gone. I hope next weekend will be a lot more relaxing. We went to get mom's oil changed and then to her hair appointment. After that, we went to the Flea Market and browsed. We got some T-shirts and a few Italian charms there. It was extremely humid and not much of a breeze. I can't wait until the weather cools down.

Then we went to Sam's Club, and even they were sold out of Wii's!!! *fnarl* Then from there we went to get groceries and went home where I crashed. The rest of the afternoon I spent fiddling with my iTrip which is supposed to enable you to listen to your iPod through your car stereo. However, I got crappy reception every time I tried to use it, so there goes that plan...

Sunday was spent at church and warding off a headache at home. I also downloaded more Bleach to enjoy. So far I have up to volume 16 in the volumes, so I only really need to buy 4 more and I'll be caught up. In addition, I'm also reading the newest chapters as they come out. I don't obsess much, do I?

I found the newest issues of the Legacy comic as well as Buffy Season 8. Both were good reads. Buffy was actually focusing on Faith. It was a BKV issue, so naturally it was good. Legacy was pretty interesting as well. It focused on the aftershock of the revelation of Darth Krayt's true identity and how he started on the pathway to being a Sith. Cade's mom shows up too.

Friday! Yay!!

Anyway, I stopped by mom's work so she could help me sort out my benefits package. I decided to get basic medical coverage as well as dental (I have a cavity) and vision. I also got Life Insurance (hey, you never know). I have to "re-negotiate" in January, in which I'll probably switch some things out. It takes effect at the beginning of August. I have to turn my paperwork into HR on Monday.

I'm going to look into getting my Wii soon. I dunno if I'll decide to go online and get it (like I did my laptop and my iPod) or go into a store. The store don't seem to have any. I do want to do a few errands on Saturday... possibly. I do want to swing by the comic shop because I'm missing my latest issue of Buffy.

I did manage to pick up a few manga titles yesterday. Samurai Deeper Kyo 23 and Trinity Blood 3. Still no Hellsing 8. But then, Dark Horse has a tendency to be late a lot of the times... I might post about them on [livejournal.com profile] ryudoshi eventually.

Wow, I never expected to get over 40 responses to my Pod People post on [livejournal.com profile] mst3k. Kewl!

I'm still trying to narrow down where I wanna go for my birthday: Disney/MGM Studios or Islands of Adventure. Now keep in mind, this is hinged on where the "Build You Own Lightsaber" exhibit is. I know it's Disney, but I don't know if it's in the park itself or not. Should I post a poll on this?

Well, tomorrow mom and I are going to go see Ratatouille sometime which I'm kinda excited about because it looks really cute.

…and I say "More power to 'em." Take this guy for instance. Words can't even begin to describe…

That seems to fit pretty well.

This song rocks hard. It's awesome. The guitars are wailing like nobody's business. I heard a clip from the X-Box commercial for "Guitar Hero II" and said, "I have got to have that song!" I took a chance and looked up a keyword having no idea who the artist was and bingo! I struck gold! So I bought it and am now head banging to my rocker chick's heart's delight.

Today turned out to be very fruitful. I went to the bookstore, knowing that some manga I've been panting over had arrived and I snatched them up with delight. Now, I can see and read all about the droolisciousness of Hakkai in his Youkai form…

I also bought some comics. Buffy 2 (Willow's back!) and Star Wars Legacy 10 (come back Jan! We miss you!) and Runaways 25 (yeah, I know I subscribed, but I haven't received it, so I think it starts next month. If I wind up having two copies, oh well). Even though I miss Adrian Alphona's art terribly, Mike Ryan does a pretty damn good job, I must say. Not crap-tastic at all. I can deal. Plus, Joss is still able to keep the spirit of the gang intact. I laughed out loud in a few places. Same with Buffy.

Well, I need to clean some strawberries and whatnot, so I'll skitter off for the time being. Laters!

Peanut Butter spill on the Roadway...

Well, I got a clean bill of health from the doctor. This was the first time I had to wear a gown though, and I got a little cold. But, he doesn't think I warrant any further testing (i.e. MRI, CAT scan, ect). He did say I most likely suffer from Migraines. He gave me some samples of medication to use for when I have another onset and if they help, then I can get a prescription for it. I also got a tetanus shot (since, apparently I was overdue) and orders for blood work for Cholesterol et al. I have to fast for it, so I'll need to do it in the morning. Probably next Wednesday since I can go home and go back to sleep.

I succeeded in changing out my icons. Apparently, I also gained three more upping my total from 112 to 115. I still have a couple of free slots, so I need to find something to fill them with. Maybe A BSG icon or one of [livejournal.com profile] flamika's Bleach icons (primarily the one with Ichigo and Rukia where she's dragging him somewhere). I also got some Runaways icons in my cache. Mostly Victor… Here in case you wanna take a gander. Free for the taking, unless they say custom, then they're look, but please don't touch.

Speaking of Runaways (nice segue, eh), I was successful in my back issue pursuit. The guy at the comic shop was very helpful. I'm pretty much caught up, although I inadvertently missed issue 21… But volume 7 of the digests is coming out next month, so I'll snatch that up sometime. I also got my paws on the Buffy comic. Score!!
