Took some pictures of the Woodie that was parked next to us in the parking lot at the grocery store over the weekend. It looks pretty bitchin'!

Went to see The Hangover also with a friend. It's pretty funny, but definitely NOT for the easily offended!

The A/C issues has kinda been resolved at work. We fiddled with the vents some and it helped for it not being so cold. Unfortunately, it made the room kinda stuffy. You can't win for losing.

Been rereading some Saiyuki Reload. Afterwards, gonna reread Furuba, from beginning to end...

Well, this week has been off to a great start so far...

I'm behind on my work at my job and there is no relief in sight thus far. My rebate I filled out for T-Mobile didn't come through because they said it was incomplete (WHAT?!?!) and I also discovered I'm ineligible for a stimulus check because my mom listed me as a dependent on her tax return. SNAP SMASH!!!

Plus, the pumps at the gas station are telling me I can't buy gas with my card for some reason. I KNOW I have enough money in there to at least do that! Stop crapping on my parade, life!!

Also, I think I'm PMSing. Terrif.

On the bright side, I was able to get my hands on a copy of MarioKart, which is awesome, BTW. It's such fun! My rating is 5th overall, but I hope to improve the more I play. I also read a magazine article on The Force Unleashed. It looks really cool. I'm pretty excited about it.

I also picked up a copy of Naruto 30 and Saiyuki RELOAD 8. Furuba 20 should be released soon. We're getting VERY close to the end.

We went to see Get Smart this weekend. It was pretty good.

Now I'm off to crawl under the covers and hope things start to improve out there before I get knocked upside the head again...

Well, the rain we've so desperately needed has finally come. It's cold and wet and miserable outside and it's absolutely wonderful!!

We helped some friends of ours who will be moving to Tennessee later this week, load up their truck yesterday afternoon/evening. Back breaking work, I must say. We didn't get home until almost 9:30. I had to stop and get me a wrist brace for my Carpal Tunnel (it really helps BTW).

When we go to the door, I noticed a big ass frog on the door near the peephole. I believe my exact words were, "Whoa frog!" Mom and I grabbed or cameras and snapped pictures, hoping he didn't decide to pay us a visit inside. Mom was getting a little frustrated at her new camera because she couldn't get it to take non-fuzzy pictures. My mother isn't the most patient person in the world. I had to tell her to calm down and keep trying, but she eventually she was able to take some pictures.

The final chapter of Inu Yasha is out. It's very sweet and a nice ending.

I tried to find a copy of Saiyuki RELOAD vol. 8. No luck. I didn't want to wander all over the place due to the deluge, so I'll try again this weekend.

It's never too late to submit some testimonials. So far I only have one new one. TT_TT Think of the kittens, will you?

Even though I'll have to take them off again in order to take my shower later on, there's nothing like kicking back in a nice, comfy pair of pajamas.

Today went pretty well again. Even though the pile of charts are still looming and it wasn't a day I have messages, things were pretty well emotionally. I have no idea how tomorrow's gonna go though... *crosses fingers*

Mom's building is setting things up so that each doctor's suite has a scanner. They've said the secretaries are responsible for scanning in documents. This, on top of their other responsibilities throughout the day. Yeah. Mom's doctor sees a lot of patients throughout the day, which means that mom has a lot of responsibilities to do and now they're saying she has to add scanning on top of that? That's insane. I sometimes think that the Med Rec people aren't being entirely realistic a lot of times.

I have two zits on my chin that are about the size of Mt. Fuji. Talk about a case of the uggos.

And... I struck gold! I got my copy of Saiyuki Reload 6! I had to go to two different stores in order to find it. Hey, sometimes hardcore fangirls go through all lengths to achieve their goals...

I also picked up a copy of Vampire Knight 1.

Today at work was pretty good. I think that since I'm determined to walk in with a positive attitude, things are gonna go much smoother (as well as watching my ass). But, Thursday hasn't come yet, so...

Bible study went long today. A lot of changes are going on there, so a lot of discussion was made in regards to it. I'm not happy with everything that's been happening, but I'm willing to see where things go and what happens.

I took most of my stuff home. Not that I had a lot, but I'm keeping in a plastic bag so I can take it back and forth with me for as long as necessary until my "transfer" is complete.

As for the girl I was gong to "train," turns out I didn't really do anything. A girl came, but she is going to be the one who comes in a few days a week to help with things. I dunno about the girl who's gonna be taking up the scanning after I go to the other building.

That was pretty much the extent of my day. Tomorrow after work, I'm gonna pop by the bookstore and see if Saiyuki Reload 6 has come in. Knowing my luck, it probably hasn't...

The thing I worry about it the fact that I'm beginning to feel the physical effects of the stress of my job. I mean, Crohn's Colitis doesn't take kindly to high stress, and double the fact that I also suffer from anxiety (which just thrills me to no end). The one bad thing (aside from the actual health issues themselves), is the fact since I have no insurance (and no way to obtain any for an unknown period of time). I mean, that's my main issue. I just hope it doesn't get to the point where someone come homes to find me passed out on the lawn.

On a much higher note, I ordered my MacBook (Hakuryuu) and paid a wee extra so it'll get to me before the end of the week. *giddy* I also stopped by the bank today to deposit my check I got from my grandparents, which will go toward reading material (of course). Some of which will contribute to the purchase of Saiyuki Reload 6 that's supposed to come out next week. Maybe also a certain calendar...

Aside from the highs and lows, everything else is pretty smooth sailing, which is how I like it.

Happy Memorial Day everyone (aside from my Canadian friends, of course)!

Let's see... my weekend.

Friday:

Mostly more unpacking. We took a load of stuff to the storage place in the rain. That was fun. Luckily we finished before the real rain storm happened. It was a deluge. We even had hail!

Saturday:

Saturday was spent mostly doing various errands. Actually nothing particularly significant stands out. We did pick up some of our houseplants from my aunt's and we stayed a while chatting which was nice. We might've taken more stuff to the storage place, but I honestly don't remember...

Sunday:

Sunday we went to church and then to the grocery store. We were planning on taking more stuff to storage, but we didn't get around to it. Sunday was pretty lazy...

I did get to write some more of my Jiro story. I think I'm getting close to the end, which I'm happy about. As for my character... bubkes. Maybe something will come to me, I dunno.

I did read more of 'Saiyuki' I downloaded. I'm missing vol 6 of Reload, though. I wonder if someone has it...

Today we plan on taking yet more stuff to storage and going to see a movie. Other than that, not much else.

*sigh* What can I say about this weekend? It was a very good weekend. *pats weekend's head* Yes you were!! Go get the stick!

*ahem* Anyway, onto the countdown:

Friday:

Well, I went to the Temp Agency to drop off my resume and fill out an application. I made an appointment for an orientation on Wednesday, so maybe things will pan out in the end...

As I left, though, mom called me and told me that the lady from the apartments we've been looking at said one was becoming available in the beginning of May. It's a two bedroom one bath on the first floor. Even though it's only a one bathroom instead of a two bathroom like we originally wanted, we decided to go for it anyway. I mean, we've been sharing a bathroom now for nearly six months now and have survived thus far. I mean, yeah, it'd be nice to have my own bathroom again, but hey, a place to live is a place to live.

Mom's also going to call about this one duplex that's a two bed two bath and has a slightly larger floor plan. The only thing is, they don't take pets. Mom called them and said she'd pay more per month if they'd allow cats. She left a voice message for the realtor since she'd already left for the day. She's gonna call back today to see what the sitch is. But hey, if we don't get into this place, at least we have an alternative, which is more than could be said even a few days ago.

And we didn't go out to dinner like I suspected we wouldn't. We pushed it to this coming Friday.

Saturday:

Most of Saturday was spent running around doing various errands. First off, we went to the storage place and put more of our things into the storage unit. A massive packing endeavour is being initiated, so we're just trying to do our part by removing our stuff that doesn't need to be there. Then we went to the apartment offices so we could drop off part of our security deposit. Mom didn't want to do the entire thing just in case the duplex comes through and we go with it. We wouldn't get any of that other money back. However, the lady had originally said that it'd be available on the 5th of May, she then said it'd be closer to the 11th. Mom started to panic a bit. We have to be out of this house by the 7th. She mentioned it to the leasing agent who then went onto explain the situation is with the guy who makes sure the apartment is in move in condition before another tenant moves in. He said he has 8 apartments he has to clean by the weekend of the 5th, which is why he said the one we're looking at might not be ready by then. She did say, however, she intends to tell him that we need to move as soon as possible and that she'd even clean the place herself if it'll mean things get done sooner. I said, if push comes to shove, we can crash with someone for a few days until it's ready. So, we'll just have to wait and see what the solution will be.

We did drive by the duplex that's for rent. At least, the one we though it was. The street is nothing but duplexes and mom couldn't be 100% sure of the number, so we didn't know if the one we saw was the actual one available or not. Me, I thought it looked a bit dumpy on the outside, but then it could look very nice on the inside and it may not be the one we saw at all. So, who can say...

Sunday:

Easter Sunday!! We had to get up early becasue mom wanted to go to sunrise services. It was held in a different location that it was in the past... so we got a little lost. We went to the wrong beach. *facepalm* But, we eventually got there and we didn't miss too much. It seemed a little long to me and the speakers were a little hard to hear due to the waves and such. I might've enjoyed it more if not for the Red Tide. Perfect timing, as always...

We went back to the house and I layed down for a bit before getting dressed for church. Then, after awhile, we went to church. We usually have two services, one at 9:00 and the other at 10:30. This time we only had one at 10:30.

After church, we got changed again and headed over to my aunt's for dinner. It's always nice to got to the family functions, but it felt strange since this was the first time we celebrated a holiday without grandma. And I actually got to play a little of my cousin's PS2 that he'd brought! 'Star Wars Battlefront II' I played (as Aayla Secura. She had two lightsabers). And I actually won! I was surprised since I've never really played video games before. I kinda liked it. I may eventually become a gamer after all...

Then, we ate dinner and me and one of my other cousin's played 'Cranium' that she'd brought. It was just the two of us, even though it would've been a lot more fun with more people, but they all wimped out. It was kinda fun, though. I won that one too. Then, my mom and my aunt started going through some of my grandma's photo albums and scrapbooks she'd had. The divided some of the pictures into various piles for different family members. Then, since we walked over, we went home before it got too dark. All in all, it was pretty fun.

Fandom wise, I downloaded some of the 'Saiyuki' volumes I dont have yet (relax, I'll still buy them when they come out). I read volume 4 on Saturday. We get to see Hakkai's youkai form once again... from the side though. And we meet Hazel, who, I believe, has the longest story arc so far. Strange guy.

Today I need to catch up with some of my FL since I wasn't able to get on at all yesterday and I want to try to clean up my room stuff in preparation of our moving. I don't know when it's going to be exactly, but I'll be sure to let you know since I'll have to be offline again then.

How, you may ask? Simple. Just renew your driver's license online. They then send you your new one through the mail using the same picture as before. Voila. As long as you keep doing this, your picture will stay the same. All you have to do is show people your driver's license and say, "See, I really do look young. After all, your driver's license never lies."

So, you can guess what I recieved in the mail the other day. Admitidly, it's not the best picture of me, but it's better than some I've had taken. Although it does still show me with short hair.

I washed my car using the new Mr. Clean Car Wash System TM. It's pretty nifty, actually. One nice feature it has is a spot free rinse. I used it and it does indeed work.

After reading 'Pain Management' (for the third time), I've decided I need to make a Soleta icon. She deserves one (well, she deserves a lot more than that, but this is all I can do, really). I found a decent picture and now I just need to attempt to use my PhotoShop skills to try and do her justice. If I'm happy with the finished result, I may post it.

I got a new frame for the pic [livejournal.com profile] kawaiiayu did for me (like I said I would). This one is much better than the one I had before.

I went to the bookstore yesterday and I bought three manga. FMA 2, Saiyuki 9, anfd RK 16. In Kenshin, I can definitely notice the changing art style, but it's not a big deal since I like the new style. And in Saiyuki, I still drool over Hakkai (well, all of them, really, but Hakkai the most).

Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] soleta_nf won the little 'contest' yesterday. There were nine.
