Well, I spent a good... half hour or so switching more of my icons. I did a bunch this time. Some of them have the same subject, just different icons, if that makes sense. Some are totally new. Like my 'Pirates' one. I may change one to a different one as soon as I can find the CD-ROM I put it on...

I have to go and take two of our cats to the vet's tomorrow. Our male is having a problem peeing. I don't know if it's a kidney problem or a bladder problem. I guess we'll see. Our older female has diarrhea and is throwing up quite a bit. She's the one we're worried about the most. She's getting older, so we hope it's nothing too serious that can be treated fairly easily. She's been kinda lethargic most of the day, so I'm keeping an eye on her. I had to fix them both some rice that's a little easier on the stomach but I flavored it with some chicken broth. The male seems to be fine except for the 'trouble peeing' thing.

The scarf for mom is coming right along. I still have a ways to go yet, but I'm making progress. It's looking pretty good, too.

Last night was our first Bible Study in awhile. It was pretty good, actually. The whole Mayberry thing is a nice one to get us back into the groove of things.

No major drama going on in my life thus far. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. Now watch me jinx myself...

Trivia of the day: The first state minimum wage law in the U.S. went into effect in Massachusetts on July 1, 1913. It would be another 25 years before minimum wage law went into effect nationally.

I wish my radio station didn't get such crappy reception in my room. I mean, I have my stereo all set up... and I can't even use it. I mean, I could play CD's on it, but there's some sort of glitch and they tend to skip a lot. *siiiiigh* So I have to either play my CD's on my little portable player, my computer or on my DVD player.

Anyway, this weekend was fairly uneventful. Saturday, we mostly stayed home and did stuff around the house. I myself stayed in my jammies most of the day...

Sunday was a bit more full. We went to church as per usual, then we had intended to go to the storage place and drop off a few more things and for mom to try and look for some books she may have in there. Then we were gonna head to get some groceries. At least, that's what we had planned...

We stopped by my aunt's so that we could have some lunch and go through more of those photo albums that had been grandma's. Well, it took a lot longer than we had thought. We didn't leave until 8:30 PM. I mean, I admit we got quite a few done, but it tends to be time consuming. But, it was fun, seeing pictures of how everyone used to look back in the day. Mom found some pictures of my sister that she already had copies of, so she put them in a pile to send to my dad. We plan on coming back on Wednesday night so that we can finish up the one box maybe as well as get some documents framed and mounted.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] elvenmoon, I was able to download Manga Studio 3.0 for perusal. I myself can't draw worth crap, but I do have some B&W images that could be colored for perhaps later use as icons. I dunno. Yes, I know I could probably do it on Photo Shop, but... I don't know how. *is shamed* Hopefully I can figure it out on MS before my trial expires...

I showed that one fanart of Amon I found to the Amon Discussion Group on [adult swim]. Yeah, it was a big hit, needless to say. *giggles*

I may be doing a minor icon shuffle soon. Just a few of them to be replaced to kind of freshen things up a bit...

Trivia of the day: In the French court of Louis XI, the fine ladies lived mainly on soup because they believed that excessive chewing would cause them to develop premature facial wrinkles.

God, I love this song. I must thank [livejournal.com profile] flamika for including it on her DN fanmix...

Well, I didn't get the job offered to me. They didn't give me a reason, they just sent an e-mail saying I wasn't what they were looking fo at this time. So, I'm going to go later on today and drop of my resume at a Temp Agency. Hopefully if I specify 'Data Entry' I can actually get Data Entry.

We're supposed to be going out to dinner tonight, but mom hasn't called to reconfirm my aunt and uncle's availability which is preventing her from making reservations. So, needless to say, I'm not holding my breath.

I did another icon shuffle today. I still have two slots left and one is reserved for one I thought I had downloaded, but it turns out I didn't. The other one... I don't remember what I was saving it for. I'm sure it'll come to me eventually.

Since Friday's are generally slim post days, I have here an interesting thing I got from [livejournal.com profile] crzydemona:

1. Your Rock Star Name (the name of your first pet and the name of the current street you live on): Suzette "Suzy" Locksley <--- actually my prior street, but it sounds better. And I think this is a cool rocker name! Along with my band, The Squid Eyes!

2. Your Movie Star Name (your grandmother on your dad's side first name and your favorite candy): Barbara Snickers <--- which I think goes better than Barbara Reese's Peanut Butter Cup or Barbara Nestle Crunch.

3. Your "Fly Girl/Guy" Name (the first initial of your first name and the first two or three letters of your last name): D-Bat <--- actually, I think I should change it to Da Bat. It still kinda fits and it sounds way cool.

4. Your Detective Name (your favorite animal and your favorite color): Cat Blue <--- I think this is an awesome detective name! Kinda like out of those 40's pulp detective novels!

5. Your Soap Opera Name (your middle name and the city where you were born): Ruth Elkhart <--- I think that'd kinda work, don't you?

6. Your "Star Wars" Name (the first three letters of your last name, the last three letters of your mother's maiden name, and the first three letters of your pet's name): BatIngMoo <--- *snort* Looks more like a bad Scrabble hand if you ask me.

7. Your Jedi Name (your middle name spelled backwards and your mom's maiden name spelled backwards): Htur Ginkrew <--- that sounds pretty cool, if you ask me.

8. Porn Star Name (your middle name, your father's middle initial and the name of the street you grew up on): Ruth A. Main <--- I'm not 100% sure of the name of the street I grew up on. I lived in a very small town...

9. Your Superhero Name ("The" + your favorite color and a car you drive/own): The Blue Saturn <--- coming to the rescue!!

10. Your Jewish Name (the first three letters of your first name + "-ri" and your favorite color + "-berg," "-stein," or "-enthal"): Danri Bluestein <--- my last name makes no sense... maybe it should be "Bluenthal."

11. Your Ghetto Name (the first two letters of your first name + "Shawn/Qwan/Ron/Quita/Niqua" and the last name of whatever currency you pull out of your pocket): DaQuita Lincoln <--- *giggle*

I hope at least some of you participate. I'd kinda like to see what everyone has.

Have a good weekend and a Happy Easter/Passover!!

Trivia of the day: Zachary Taylor, formerly a professional soldier, never voted. He didn’t even vote in the election that elected him U.S. president.

Man, I don't think I'll need to eat for at least a week. But it was all so gooood!!! It's a good thing I don't eat like that on a regular basis or else I'd weigh about 300 lbs.

I did get to see a lot of my family I hardly ever see otherwise. I got one of my cousin's LJ account. She said she had about ten, but I told her I wanted the one she used most often. She doesn't have to worry about me saying anything about what she writes on there, as long as she does the same for me on here...

I also found out, one of my other cousins works part-time at an adult bookstore (as a clerk). I asked if she got a lot of 'interesting' clientele, she just shuddered. She said she's glad she has hand sanitizer nearby. I thought, "I'll bet, especially if there are any back rooms in there."

Today mom and I plan on doing some window shopping (like we can really do anything else) and go eat lunch. She also wants to check on the status of apartment availability where we applied to.I just keep hoping that we can hear from them. I also hope that I become employed sometime so I can pay my share.

I spend almost a half-hour shuffling some of my userpics around. I kept my custom ones and just added some new ones to replace someof the older ones I had. Just to keep things fresh.

Well, short post today. I hope everyone had a good holiday and doesn't get trampled by all of those shoppers bum rushing the stores so they can get their discounts. Talk about scary...
