snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Soleta)
I know I wanted some excitement lately, but this isn't what I had in mind.

It all started yesterday. I come into work to discover my job description changed. Instead of scanning, I am now sorting through all of the OB/GYN documents and alphabetizing them. Then I discovered, as well as the two shelves of envelopes, I now have an additional two filing cabinet drawers full of documents yet to go through.

Someone shoot me now, plz.

Then, when I was coming back from lunch, I went to put my lunch bag in my car like I always do when I discovered the keyless entry didn't work. That meant I had to unlock the door manually. The only problem with that was, it set off the panic alarm… that I couldn't shut off due to the fact I can only do it with my keyless entry… which wasn't working. Follow me so far? This one girl who was in her car told me to try to start the car to get it to turn off. I though to myself, "It's anti-theft. It's not gonna start." Which it didn't.

Luckily by the time I was ready to go home, it started up fine. I just can't use the keyless entry until I get the battery replaced.

Then, when I got home, I got a jury summons in the mail. "Shit," I thought to myself. "This is the last thing I need." I found out I have to report the same day we plan on leaving for a friend of ours' wedding. How is it this is my third jury summons since I turned 18, and mom hasn't gotten one once!! I'm going to try to find a way to legally get out of it. I think I'll play up the illness angle.

Wednesday evening was fun, though. A friend of ours was in town and we haven't seen her in several months, so we met up and had a ball of course. Even though I wanted to finish loading up my iTunes, I wasn't gonna miss this for the world.

We're supposed to be going to an Easter musical tonight, but mom and I flaked out. I kinda feel bad, but the both of us wanna relax for the rest of the night…

And I finished up the New Frontier Mirror-verse story Cutting Ties. I liked it. It was a different take on things and the character dynamics were different, but it still felt kinda the same.

Well, have a blessed and happy Easter to those who celebrate!!

I think I'm an electronics jinx. My iPod vomited on me today. I couldn't get my songs to play or even get it to shut off. It worked fine Saturday when I last used it, so I have no idea what happened to it. I didn't do anything to it that I don't ordinarily do. Curious. So I'm gonna go to Apple Support and see if I can find anything out. If not, then it's off to the Apple store to see if they can figure it out. I felt naked today without it.

But, I got my Runaways print in the mail today, so that brightened my day a lot! It looks gorgeous! I think I'm gonna have it framed. *preens*

Mom took a personal day today. She was feeling a little burned out with all of the overtime and extra work she's been doing. I hope she gets some relief soon…

I got the Spider-Man 3 novelization yesterday after we got done at the movie (Wild Hogs for the curious). And it won't spoil me in the slightest. I also go the Mirrorverse compilation with the New Frontier story Cutting Ties. I haven't fully read it yet, but I did skim through it some and found some very interesting variations I must say.

I also read some of the second Trinity Blood manga. *whistles* Boy, Fr. Leon is smokin'!! Those abs you could literally scrub clothes on. And I know I'm going to the special hell for saying that…

And finally, from [livejournal.com profile] myabita13:
