snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Kenshin and Enishi faceoff (elevenses))
...baby.*snickers*

Anyway, mom was having trouble trying to download a song from iTunes last night. It's been awhile she she did it, and so she had thought she lost it. I told her to show me what she did. So she went through all the steps and then I figured out why she couldn't find the song on her hard drive. She didn't download it like she thought she had. She did the second time. Then she tried to burn it onto a disk, but the format was one of those m4p's instead of an mp3, so she couldn't do it. So she had to download a converter that would allow her to do it.

Tonight is our movie night and it's my turn to pick, so I'm gonna pick "The Mummy." She's never seen it all the way though, so I felt it was high time. That is, unless my aunt wants her to come over so they can look through photo albums before her and my uncle leave on their vacation on Thursday.

Went to the bookstore yesterday. Got some manga. DN 6, FMA 8 and the final volume of RK. Twenty-eight. I've only read FMA and RK so far and so, I give my impressions...

We're starting to get to the point in the manga where it differs from the anime. First of all, Al regains his memories of when his body was taken through the Gate. Due to this, it gives him the ability to perform alchemy without a circle, like Ed. Needless to say, this gives Ed a bit of a complex. Kinda like "My little brother is taller than me, stronger than me and now he has alchemy skills that are close to me..." Poor Ed. *titters*

There are differences with the homunculi as well. For instance, Bradley is still one, but he's not Pride. He's actually Wrath! And Sloth is a completely different person! Greed also meets his end by different means as well. Apparently, it has nothing to do with being confronted by the remains of the individual that was trying to be brought back and therefore created them. In fact, all the homunculi were created by a single person (who looks suspiciously like Hoenheim).

Also, we meet with Barry the Chopper again... who falls for Hawkeye, much to her chagrin (and to the Colonel's as well *snickers*). He tells Mustang everything in regards to the secrets of Laboratory Five.

Next volume is gonna be a toughy because that's when the kids (Ed, Al and Winry) find out about Hughes' death.

I had read how RK ends due to scanlations before it was licensed, so it wasn't a big shocker. Still it was nice to actually hold it in my hands and read it as opposed to on a computer screen. The fight with Enishi ends and everyone starts to move on with their lives. Megumi goes back to Aizu to open a clinic. Saitou moves to another department in the police force out of Tokyo. Aoshi and Misao go back to Kyoto to give the rest of the Obiwanbanshu a proper burial. And Sano is pursued by the authorities for the fight he was in back in his hometown since it was against one of the political figures and his family (see vol. 26). We see everyone four (?) years into the future and Kenshin and Kaoru have a son (Kenji) and Yahiko has become an instructor at the dojo, traveling to others to give lessons. After dueling with Kenshin, he is given the sakabatou as a 15th birthday gift.

Something interesting I noticed was that Sano's little brother Ota was a student at the dojo. I thought that was cute.

There was also a one shot in the back called "Meteor Strike." It was pretty cute. I had heard that the side story starring Yahiko was going to printed in this volume as well, but it wasn't. I dunno if it will be printed in English or not. I personally wouldn't mind seeing the Kaden printed in English (and in color) but I don't know if that's gonna happen.

There was also the first chapter of Watsuki-sensei's new series "Buso Renkin" in the back. It looks to be pretty interesting. It does have a similarity to FMA though I noticed. What with Alchemy and Homunculus. It's coming out in English in August, so I'll be checking it out to see what it entails.

I want to see if I can watch some more of my torrents that I have. Hopefully I can maybe burn some of them so that I can perhaps make more room to download more.

Trivia of the day: In English folklore, Queen Mab was a fairy queen who governed people's dreams.

Rawr... I wonder if I'll be able to find it in Jacksonville at the Waldenbooks or the Books-A-Million. =/

Waldenbooks will probably have it. They're usually very good with the latest releases.

Sometime I want to get the Profiles once I have a little more money. I'd really like to get the art book as well...

Profiles? ??

I've seen the FMA artbook around. I'm glad that they domesticated it. I wonder if TokyoPop will consider doing that for the Furuba fanbooks/artbooks?

Basically it's just a guide to the different characters and events up to a certain point. I have one for Rurouni Kenshin.

I sure hope so! I have the Neko fan guide and the Artbook already, but it sure would e nice to read 'em!

There's a guide like that for FMA? *was not aware*

Yeah, I wish I had the Neko fanbook. I got it for a friend for Christmas; been meaning to buy it, but still have not had the money. =/ One day though...
