HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

I hope that everyone has had a safe and pleasant New Year thus far. Mom and I stayed in (like we usually do) and watched some movies, ordered some pizza, watched the ball drop and drank some sparkling cider.

A lot of things happened in 2015. Some good and some bad, not just to me personally, but worldwide as well. People passed on and babies were born, there was a new Star Wars movie that was released, the final Hunger Games movie as well. Some book releases as well as educational achievements, like graduating from grad school, possible employment opportunities and induction into the educational honor society.

Here's a brief recap of 2015 as I can remember it:

Soooo, that was pretty much my year. This coming year has lots of promise. There is a possibility of a job and maybe a move to go with it. It's a little exciting and nerve-wracking at the same time. I think it'll be good, though. I'm not going to get too much ahead of myself, but I'm going to try to stay optimistic. And not think about the looming student loan payment that's coming up...

I hope 2016 will turn out to be a good one for all of you and I look forward to seeing what'd next in your lives!!

Whoa. New shinies for LJ. I'll have to see how I like it.

Showin' off my new icon that [livejournal.com profile] flamika made me... The pretties.

Today was a good day. Of course, we had a party, so that helped some. I'm also happy because we got the stuff from Body Shop in today. I'm really happy. I was planning on taking a Lavender bath, but I don't think I'll have the time. Bummer.

Tomorrow is the little party for our Music Minister's wife to celebrate her doctorate in Education she just received. So, I don't know when I'll be on tomorrow...

Mom has totally lost it. She's playing the singing bear we got my cousin for her birthday. She's singing along with it...

And Stampers on ATACT gave me a sexy pic of Tom Welling for a "Christmas Present." I've yet to wipe the drool off my chin.

Aaaaand, the return of this old chestnut, making the rounds again:

OK, the assignment is to go into your journal archives, pick the first (or second) sentence of your first entry for the month and post them. This is your year in review.

January: Well, not officially until a couple of weeks, but work with me here... Anyway, this is going to be a long post, so bear with me.

February: There's some tension in the household as of late. Not between me and my mom, but between me and the lady we're living with... and I have no idea as to why.

March: OK, I'm trying not to go into anxiety over the fact that mom took my car into work today. Hers is still in the shop.

April: Man, I got another late start. This DST time change is killing me.

May: Ugh. Yesterday I was trying real hard not to have an anxiety attack.

June: I was watching 'Ladyhawke' the other day and I had almost forgotten what a cool film that was.

July: Mom was feeling kinda bad last night and this morning. I hope that it's just allergies and not a cold.

August: Well, the hormone tidal wave I was riding on has ebbed somewhat. I blame [livejournal.com profile] umadoshi.

September: September already. Unreal.

October: I don't know why my modem and/or router likes to go funky sometimes. Mostly it's the modem.

November: Have I mentioned how much I love this song? I'd play it all day if I could...

December: I have flour over me now.

And there was my year in review! Enjoy!

Trivia of the day: Incan soldiers invented the process of freeze-drying food. The process was primitive but effective -- potatoes would be left outside to freeze overnight, then thawed and stomped on to remove excess water.

Guess what? It has come for a visit. *sighs* Well, so far It hasn't been too bad, but I'm still being guarded. I'd rather have It come now than at Christmas time. *grumble* I hate this time of the month. Yesterday, my cramps were really bad all I wanted to do was crawl under the covers and never come out. Ahhh, Midol is my friend.

[livejournal.com profile] flamika, I still haven't recieved your package yet. What size is it so I know whether to watch the mailbox or by the front door? I hope my card isn't going through a lot of trouble.

Yesterday, instead of having a regular bible study, we made cards for folks in a nursing home. I made about four before my creative juices were spent. I sat in front of the television and watched 'Santa Clause 2' and drank some hot cocoa. Yummers. I also had a sugar cookie with coconut shavings sprinkled on it and a Hershey kiss sitting in the center. It was pretty good, I must say. Almost made up for the crappiness I was feeling.

I didn't have to get up early this morning to take mom to work. The lady we stay with took her. I was glad to be able to sleep in. Times like these it'd take nothing short of a crowbar to pry me out of bed.

I made an icon of my new motto yesterday, on a whim.

My first one of the text icons you see floating around every once in awhile. Not too bad, I must say.

OK, I'm gonna follow the crowd and do this little meme-thingy:

OK, the assignment is to go into your journal archives, pick the first (or second) sentence of your first entry for the month and post them. This is your year in review.

Jan: "I hope everyone had a pleasant New Year. I did."

Feb: "I temporarily changed the color of my layout for Valentine's Day."

Mar: "I just wanted to start off by saying thank you to all who responded to my previous post. That meant a lot to me."

April: "Well, today I'm actually wearing shorts for the first time in months."

May: "*whew* This weekend was a full one! It had it's fair share of ups and downs, which I shall list here in a way I've seen both [livejournal.com profile] kawaiiayu and [livejournal.com profile] flamika do a few times in the past:"

June: "Well, a quickie post before I get ready to go and meet [livejournal.com profile] toriru4ever and, hopefully, [livejournal.com profile] vanatom. I hope the rain eases up before I go."

July: "I got my copy of Furuba 10 yesterday. Of course, it came in the evening and mom had to ask questions..."

Aug: "Well, we didn't go out Friday night like we planned. It's been postponed for sometime later on this month, but we'll have to see."

Sept: "Well, it's been my second day as a working girl. The second day was better."

Oct: "Well, we may have to move after all."

Nov: "Hello!! I'm back! Sorry it took so long, but I only got internet access today and then I had a doctor's appointment."

Dec: "My toe aches. It didn't hardly bother me at all yesterday, but today it does a little bit."

And that, dear friends, was my Year in Review. And, of course, I got sucked into rereading the whole entry I got the sentences from... *shakes head*
