snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Vash -- from the cover of vol. 11)
Stupid allergies. My nose keeps draining and it causes me to have a scratchy throat. I had to wake up an hour earlier since I couldn't sleep what with the sniffling and the scratchiness. Oh well, I watched some 'Buffy' to console me.

I got your package yesterday, [livejournal.com profile] flamika! I also got cards from my Canadian friends [livejournal.com profile] soleta_nf and [livejournal.com profile] umadoshi! Thanks everyone! I felt so much better after having received them! *hugs to all*

I don't know if I feel like tackling my icon table today or not. HTML is my enemy at the moment and I'm worried I'll do something drastic like set it on fire or something (figuratively, of course).

I went to the bookstore yesterday on the hunt for 'Saiyuki Reload' 2 since a few people I know had gotten it already. No luck in that department, but I did find 'TriMax' 7, or as I like to call it "The Birth of a Genocidal Psychopath." The cool thing though, was the lady who checked me out was also a fan! She said she was excited about the news of the possibility of a new movie coming out and I said I agreed. She then said all that needed to happen now was to find away of bringing Spike from 'Cowboy Bebop' back from the dead, and she'd be happy. It was kind of neat to have someone who shares the same appreciation for manga and anime I do check me out.

As for my agenda today, I'll basically be washing bedsheets. Mine are easy to do since I have a regular bed, but mom's are a bit harder. The actual washing isn't hard, just the removing and the putting back on. She has a queen sized waterbed and it's a little difficult to put the sheets back on for one person, so I'm gonna wait until she gets back home in order for her to help me. Mwahahahahaaaaaa!!

My new motto, everyone. It's basically saying that even if we outwardly conform to the rest of society, inwardly, we're giving 'em the finger. In fact, I may even make me an icon of it, I dunno yet.

Speaking of which, I actually made a header for my icon journal [livejournal.com profile] starshine76. I've yet to be able to get the icon table to work properly, so I have to fiddle with that more but I will say this -- I HATE HTML CODE WITH A PASSION AS WHITE-HOT AND INTENSE AS A THOUSAND BURNING SUNS!!!!!! There. I feel better now. Sorry for the shouting, everyone.

And, on a much happier note, I was able to find those files I thought I'd lost!!!! Yippee!! Turns out, as I was searching through My Computer for some brushes I had downloaded, I clicked on HP Authorized User's Documents and voila! There they were. So all my scans and whatnot are all in there still. So, [livejournal.com profile] poeticdeathofme, if you still want that picture I took of you over Thanksgiving, I can send it to you.

*does handsprings* Of course, this also means I found my songs I had saved as well. *giggles*

I had to get up early this morning so I could take my mom to work. Her car doesn't want to start for her due to 1. it doesn't like it when the temperature gets below 60 or something and 2. she needs a new battery. The battery she intends to buy Thursday after she gets paid, so that'll be nice. Getting up early really sucks. I may take a nap later on this afternoon.

[livejournal.com profile] peanutcat told me she got her card I sent her. I was glad. She also sent me a card with some 'Saiyuki' goodies in it, so I'm looking forward to that, lemme tell ya.

I got a bunch of 'Star Trek' books yesterday. The son of the lady we live with said he'd give them to me and I can pick which ones I wanted and he'd take back the rest. He said he'd sell them on eBay or something and I told him just to give them to the library. Anyway, I picked out about three novels and the majority of the refrence books, like the Encyclopedia. It's a bit out of date, but still pretty useful. Nothing on NF in there, though since it was printed before the series started. Oh well. We can't have 'em all, can we?
