... and it's taking no prisoners.

Yes, that lovely time has come. And by lovely, of course, I mean, totally agonizing. The Red Tide has reared its considerably ugly head around. Ugh, the things we have to go through in order to propagate, I swear...

Mom called and said I should be expecting a call from someone sometime today in regards to setting up an interview with someone in the Medical Records department. Since she has my car, I can't go anywhere so I'll most likely still be around. Due to my "condition" I can't go swimming, either. Currently I'm doing laundry, even though mom gave me the "day off." I need some clean clothes.

The other night, I had my first dream (that I remember) with my grandmother in it. It was very nice, actually. The whole family was going to see a production of Les Miz and we were going to one of those old fashioned type theaters, with the velvet and the gilding and chandeliers. I was helping my grandmother up the stairs to the main auditorium (like I usually did sometimes) but in the dream, she had a cane and she never used one when she was living. Once we got inside, we took our seats, and somehow I was fiddling with my cell phone for some reason. I think I was trying to turn it off and I couldn't. We discover that instead of a live stage production, it's actually a film and I remember thinking to myself, "If I'd wanted to see a film version, I'd have rented one from the video store." And then I woke up. Strange.

My two new Netflix disks have arrived. One is a disk of shorts from MST3K which I already watched. The other is the first disk of Saiyuki Reload, which I've seen the first few episodes of. I like the animation style better this time around. Gojyo's hair is actually the color it's supposed to be, not pink. I was also instructed that I needed to watch this particular series in Japanese, which I have been. But then, I have to make sure I constantly focus on the screen so I know what's being said, as opposed to doing something else, which I've done from time to time.

I wasn't able to find the latest issue of the Legacy comic, so I have to try again some other time I guess. *siiigh*

Trivia of the day: In 1954, Trix breakfast cereal was introduced by General Mills. The new cereal, a huge hit with kids, was 46.6 percent sugar.<--shocker

Black Betty by Ram Jam works well in that capacity also...

Anyway, I heard back from someone who wants to contact me for an interview. It's a doctor's office instead of the actual company itself. They said there'd be filing and perhaps some appointment making. Filing I can handle, but the appointment thing I'm a little iffy about since it means it'd involve phone usage, which I hate. But, I'll still talk to them and see what happens. I wanna be a more behind the scenes person, but I dunno what will happen. They did say I was over qualified. It's not like I'm planning to make a full fledged career out of this, but I do need to get a foot in the door sort of thing.

I had an odd dream last night. I was at this retreat for women, but it was more like one of those mountain resort type of things. Anyway, there were a few people from LJ there, like [livejournal.com profile] flamika and [livejournal.com profile] umadoshi. And, strangest of all, Tori Amos was there. Somehow we were able to get her to sing for us, but don't ask me what the song was. In my dream, [livejournal.com profile] flamika had a twin sister that we met. I know she doesn't have any sisters IRL, but the dream world doesn't care about that sort of thing. Strange.

I can't believe it's Friday already. Last week went by quickly as well.

My doctor's appointment went well as to be expected. He wants me to come in again in November and do more blood work. It seems kinda sudden, but I had my last blood work done in May, so the timing is about right, actually. I was supposed to see him in May, but with the move and all, it kinda got pushed to the wayside a bit.

And I wish my allergies would leave me alone!!!!!

Trivia of the day: Many parts of a tree can die without killing the whole tree. In fact, much of a normal, healthy tree is dead — the wood in the center, for example.
