I'm seriously thinking of quitting my forum. I don't want to, but things are happening that just makes me want to cash in my chips and walk away for good.

I hate it, but that's the direction I'm thinking of going. I love all the people on there and I had so much fun, but now I'm not sure it's worth it anymore.

Well, here I am waiting for a phone call from the lady who's in charge of hiring for Data Entry. Luckily I wasn't planning on doing much of anything today, except possibly get some lunch and buy some gas. Maybe get some bread. All I know is that she'd be calling sometime this morning. *crosses fingers* I hope it goes well.

I was able to download a Solitaire game for my Mac, so I've been playing that a lot. Although, I might have to cut back because my eyes begin to hurt from staring at the computer for long periods of time. I'm debating on if I want to take my computer with me when we go out of town next weekend. I mean, I'm not going to be gone all that long, but still. Oh well. I still have some time.

Later on today, I plan on going to get my pedicure for the wedding. I just hope it lasts for a week and a half. I've been wearing mostly closed toed shoes, and they tend to be brutal to pedicures. Tomorrow I'm getting my hair trimmed. I need a touch up, but I don't think I have the time for that.

I may do a write up on SDK 22 and FMA 13 on [livejournal.com profile] ryudoshi later on. It depends on if I'm in the mood. I do need to work more on my story for ATACT sometime. I'm kinda stuck. I hate writer's block...

Well, today was my first day back at the main building. It went pretty smoothly, though. I spent the day sorting various documents into different piles, so it was kinda tedious but it needed to be done. Time would go by smoother if I had an iPod to pass the time with... *ahem* Tomorrow some of the bigwigs are going to be there for some reason or another. I'm just glad I'm not gonna be there for it. I'm gonna be at the OB/GYN place.

Working on Saturday wasn't too bad either. I was able to get up in time enough to get done what I needed to do before I left, so I wasn't so anxious. The only thing was the room was freezing. You could almost hang slabs of meat in there and they'd still be cold.

I was able to get my iTunes songs transferred from Snoopy onto Hakuryuu, so now I can listen to my music as I type. I'm working on getting my bookmarks transferred. I got some of them, but I have a lot to go yet. And while my external flash drive is very handy in this sort of situation, it still has a limit on what it can hold.

And we're having issues with one of the members on ATACT. She's a fanbrat of high caliber and the stuff she writes is brain melting. The character she adopted is always written so OOC it's actually painful. Physically painful. Don't even get me started on her grammar. So we the mods are trying to figure out a way to handle this diplomatically despite the fact that the majority of us don't feel very diplomatic.

My oldest cat is pissing me off. She's been pooping on the towel we have on the floor in the bathroom (for when we step out of the shower and don't want to get the floor wet). She has no reason to be doing this. The litter box is clean. If she's doing this in a fit a pique, she can keep it to herself. She's gotten cranky as she's gotten older...

Word of the day: circumspection

Well, today was decidedly better than yesterday, I must say. I think I went in with a different attitude. I was basically not gonna let the overload get me down. I'm gonna do what I can at my own pace and hopefully let the other things sort themselves out.

I had to leave early today because I had to pick up mom in order for her to sign some stuff she needed to, so that was nice.

Wow, it seems surreal that Christmas is only four days away. Before, I always had this time off, but now I'm working and it seems strange. But, I guess I'll get used to it.

My printer was hating me last night. For some reason, it doesn't like to print any of my projects from PrintMaster. This is my new printer, too. It's supposed to work better, dammit! I have book marks to finish!

I wrote more on ATACT tonight. It was pretty good I thought. I hope my muse decides to stick with me for awhile. I have other story stuff to get through...

Well, it seems there's more development in Kaze Hikaru. I don't know how many of you follow this series (or if anyone does), but I'm gonna blather on about it anyway. Feel free to skip.

It seems that Saito (who we think finally discovers Sei's secret) has told Okita if he plans on "making any moves." Then he says that he plans on telling the Vice-Captain (Hijikata, I think) and that he wants to marry Sei! Dun dun dunnnnnn... Not that I have anything against Saito, but I'm sticking by my Sei/Okita ship baby!

Trivia of the day: In the Thomas Nast cartoon that first depicted Santa Claus with a sleigh and reindeer, he was delivering Christmas gifts to soldiers fighting in the Civil War. The cartoon, entitled "Santa Claus in Camp" appeared in Harper's Weekly on January 3, 1863.

Man, this week is totally gonna be dull. I mean, both mom and I are stuck in the house most of the day. Tomorrow we have groceries to get and that sort of thing but otherwise...

We had some friends of ours stop by yesterday. We had to go on the porch because the wife is allergic to cats and our male, Ori likes to be the center of attention whenever we have people over. He has so far failed to realize that not everyone likes cats.

After they left, Mom was watching the end of 'Veronica Mars' last night and she was asking me some questions, which I couldn't really answer. Like:

Mom: "What's the deal with Beaver?"
me: "You'll find out later on."
Mom: "What's going on with Woody?"
me: "You'll find out later on."
Mom: "You can tell me."
me: "No. I can't."
Mom: "Can't, or won't?"
me: "A little of both, but mostly can't."

Mom is the type of person who reads the end of a book she's reading and wants to know how a movie ends if someone has already seen it but she hasn't. Some spoilers I myself am OK with, but some I'd rather find out myself. Such as the case with 'The Sixth Sense.' If someone told me how it ended before I saw it, I would've been very upset. Mom's the other way around. She gets upset if someone doesn't say what's happened. It can be a little annoying at times...

I have to sweep the floors today. Most especially the kitchen floor. Mom tends to drop some things and she can't bend down to pick them up.

I've been contemplating making some changes on ATACT. Mostly, due to the fact we're getting a lot of younger members, that we try to ensure that the stories they write are properly spelled and punctuated. And that they do some research on whatever NPC they want to "adopt" so that they can do the character justice and not be to OOC. We've had a few... issues with that sort of thing in the past, so I just want to make sure that it's not too much of a problem in the future. One of my moderators is having a bit of a problem with it, mostly with becoming exclusive. I don't consider it becoming exclusive, just a way to ensure that whatever is written is legible and in character. And this doesn't just apply to the newer members, it applies to everyone. Some of our other members have had troubles in this area which I've tried to address, but to no avail it seems. Anyway, me and my two mods are trying to hash out a scheme that would work the best for everyone.

I was watching 'Gene Simmons' Family Jewels' last night, and his kids are pretty funny. Yes, I admit, it was a guilty pleasure, but then again so was 'The Osbournes.' Plus I was also watching 'ABBA in Concert' on PBS last night. Yes, my dirty little secret is out...

Trivia of the day: The British term for abalone is "ormer." The word is derived from the Latin for "ear of the sea," alluding to its shape.

Well, it seems that some anonymous insect decided to make my bathroom floor it's final resting place yesterday. And of course, there was a small invasion of the ant army to feast upon it. Thrilling. So I had a bit of cleaning up yesterday. Not only did I have to remove the carcass, but the small orgy that was happening upon it. I swear, something could die in the middle of nowhere, on a frozen wasteland, and still there'd be ants to sniff it out and have a good ol' party.

I recieved another one of my gifts yesterday. A fic that was written for my by [livejournal.com profile] tangerrine. And it's... Xyon/Soleta smut!!(well, to a degree)

I tell ya, it made my day.

Trial by Fire.

I think I'm gathering my thoughts enough to be able to post another installment of my plot on 'ATACT.' I feel bad for the big gap, but that's the way it goes, sometimes.

Tonight, I'm going out again for my birthday (as well as another girl's) with some co-workers from Mom's work. We're going to Texas Roadhouse. Which means, I have to tape 'Firefly' tonight.

Tomorrow Mom, grandma and I are going to eat... again. And Sunday, mom sid we're going to go see 'Batman Begins.' So, this week-end is gonna be pretty busy!

Mom was needling me a bit yesterday about getting a job. I know I need to get one. I was thinking of trying to find a job at a bookstore until I find a career type job. I'd love to work in a bookstore. Even if I don't work in Customer Service, I can inventory (which I think I'd prefer, actually). I'll have to look into it somehow.

Whee! We have a new thread on AS! "As the Anime Character Turns." Cool huh! I'll be shortening it to "ATACT" from now on. Thank you, Cyn! Me and Gren will be settling in nicely. We're in "Babbling" right now, but I'm thinking maybe we should be in "Incoherent Babbling" since a bunch of the stuff we do is role-play-ish and there are rules about that. I don't want us to get deleted!

I can't believe I fell asleep before "JJ pt. 2" came on last night! *sob* I even took a nap in the afternoon so I could stay awake later! Argh! I'll be OK.

Today is laundry day. I know, my life is full of excitement. But, it needs to be done. Mom is still laid up and besides, she doesn't do it right anyway.

Trigun returns this Saturday!! Whoo!!
