Why can't people leave well enough alone?

I gotta say, I am not very enthused about this one. For one thing, the animation looks VERY poor. The original series, which was done in the 80's no less, looks better than this one.

And who the hell are these new characters? What is this, Voltron High?

Yeah I know, I sound like one of those 'they changed it, now it sucks' people. I personally don't see why they need to reboot the series in the first place. There was (and is) nothing wrong with the original. Same thing goes for Thundercats (which is also being remade).

Maybe I'm being cantankerous or something, but I wish Hollywood would get some originality. It seems like everything they make anymore is a remake of something else. Now cartoons are falling victim to it as well.
