So, Clay Aiken is gay. NEVER saw that coming. All I know is that my cousin will be profoundly disappointed.
It's also been "officially" revealed that Lindsay Lohan and her girlfriend are "officially" an item. This is new information? Call me cynical, but I wonder how long this show is going to last. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm glad she was able to find someone in her life to give her stability be they male, female or hermaphrodite. But I wonder how long it'll be before she hitches a ride back on the penis train?
I was up until almost midnight catching up with Takaya-sensei's new series Hoshi was Utau AKA Twinkle Stars. Verdict: I'm hooked. I may have to snag some of the icons
flamika made.
I mean, Sakuya (who is all kinds of cute, BTW) has a bitch of a step-mother (and let's face it, her birth mother isn't a prize either. I mean, who tells their ex-husband they'd wished they'd never had children... IN FRONT OF HER DAUGHTER!!!). Then there's various characters from her previous series Furuba. There's Ren, who was a MAJOR BITCH ad was one of the reasons for her daughter's massive personality and emotional problems; there's Rin's mom who was a fake and then became horribly abusive towards her. Yuki's mother sold him to the head of the family for status and was horribly ashamed of her oldest son (considering it's Ayame, I can see where she's coming from, but he's got a good heart). Hiro's mom (and arguably Ritsu's) were the exceptions, not to mention Kyoko.
Chihiro: Despite the fact that I think he's hiding something (what exactly it is I've been debating with myself), I'm warming to him. I look forward to seeing what exactly his deal is.
Kanade: He kinda reminds me of Shigure in a way, what with the jellyfish demeanor. But he cut his hair!!! I liked his shaggy 'do! Anyway, he seems to genuinely care about Sakuya given how he took her in after her parents gave her the shaft and the way he told off her step-mother (AWESOME). I do wonder how he supports himself seeing as he doesn't seem to have a job. I mean, the part time job Saku has doesn't seem like it would be enough to support the both of them in that sweet beach house they live in.
Yuri: He's cute. Reminds me of Kyo in a way because of his volatile personality and the whole crushing on the main girl kinda deal.
Hijiri (Sei): She kinda reminds me of Hanajima in that dark twisted kind of way. I hope we learn how she and Saku came to be friends. Plus, she has her Ambiguously Gay bodyguard Saki, who is good for comic relief.
Well, that's all for now. It's Hump Day and my brain is fried...

I barely know who Clay Aiken is, actually, but he does have some disappointed fans right now apparently. I don't know why, because it's not like they were going to marry him anyway.

I guess I'll give the series a try. I've read everything else under the sun within the past couple of days, so why not?
