snapdragon76Sitting here watching Princess Tutu again and fangirling over Fakir again, even if he is a bit of a jerk at first...
And DelRey has renewed it's contract with LucasArts. There are plans for a new nine books series released strictly in HARDCOVER entitled Fate of the Jedi which takes place directly after LOTF. Given the fallout from THAT particular series, needless to say, a lot of fans are a bit dubious about this next series. Plus, the fact they'll all be in hardcover means it'll be an expensive venture. I'm sure they'll eventually be released in paperback eventually, but it'll be a looooong wait. I just hope that whatever events come along, it can cover nine books.
Anyhow, here's what I'd like to see happen in this new series, in no significant order, just as I think of them...
1. Jaina to finally decide on someone (most likely Jag since Zekk is conveniently out of the picture). Not that her life needs be defined by a guy or something, but since the events of the Legacy comic series are only a few generations away, soooo... the Fel legacy isn't going to start itself you know... *a-hem*
2. Luke and Ben to reconnect as a family again. Luke was kind of busy try to thwart the machinations of Caedus and then grieving over the loss of his wife. He needs to be a bad ass again and re-strengthen the Jedi Order. Maybe he and Ben should go on vacation and reenergize or something.
3. No more galactic threat!!! I mean c'mon! Just because SW is an action series doesn't mean that some massive war or some such needs to happen to make a compelling story line. There's the massive aftermath of Caedus' attempted conquest to recover from and the adjustment it takes having a former Imperial (and a pretty nasty one at that), taking over the reigns of the GA.
4. The whereabouts of Zekk. I thought what happened to him at the end of Invincible was reeeeeally shitty. He's got a lot of development to go and a lot of potential. He needs tohave a threesome with some Hapan twins come back and come into his own. Who knows, maybe he'll find someone to settle down with or something.
5. I want some grieving, dammit!!! I mean, the Solo name has basically been eradicated and Jaina was forced to kill her brother (although I think there was a better way to handle that XP) and everyone was acting like it was no big deal... *siiiigh* He was her TWIN for Pete's sake!!! Make up for the character rape he went through!!! ARGH!
6. Tenel Ka. I hope she makes more than a brief appearance. I mean, she's more than just Allana's mother or the Queen Mother of Hapes. She has a bigger role in the universe. She's still a Jedi after all. Maybe she'd be haunted by Jacen and feel the loss of not only her lover, but her daughter as well (in a matter of speaking). Have her come to terms with her feelings. But then, a lot of guys might be alienated or something. There needs to be a balance. Bahhhh...
7. Allana. Even though she's now "Amelia" and living with her grandparents, I hope we see some of her Force abilities come into play. All this despite the fact that she's only four...

So, you're kinda sorta not looking forward to the series?? Or are you just skeptical after the LOTF series? Because if I'm remembering correctly, you took a picture of your reaction to the last book *lol*. That was just classic . Best book review ever (I'm dead serious too) *lol*.

Kinda guardedly skeptical rather. I wanna see what happens since I grew up with many of these characters and I have a fondness for them, but kinda jaded after what happened to one of my favorite characters in the previous series... he be in mah icon.
