snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Kureno -- color)
I'm posting mostly to inform everyone I'm still alive and kicking. I mean, things didn't get that bad or anything.

Today was a little bit better... until the very end of the day when I had a major problem that I didn't know how to fix and the ones who I go to for help had already left for the day. Luckily my "office mate" was still there and helped me. I hope tomorrow will go without any hitches whatsoever...

My search for a Wii is proving to be difficult. I can't even find a way to buy it online! What gives?

It seems we're gonna have to delay our trip to Islands of Adventure for a few weeks. Money issues. As long as we still do it, I'm pretty OK.

The Sunday after my birthday we were invited to a Baby Shower for my second cousin as well as a birthday party. I knew no one in my family would do anything for my birthday. They never do. I mean, mom tries to do something for me and I appreciate that, but no one else does. I'm used to getting the shaft when it comes to my family. It doesn't mean it still doesn't hurt.

So since our theme park trip has been postponed, mom said she'd take me to The Melting Pot for desert fondue! The S'more one is my favorite.

my moms side of the family has pretty much ignored my birthday since i was like five. if anyone on that side made any acknolowdgement after that, it certainly got cut off when my parents divorced when I was 12. My dad's side is better about it since its small. Since my birthday is around thanksgiving, and we usually do thanksgiving at my aunts house now, thats kinda when they celebrate my birthday too. They know i got the shaft since my grandpa died a few years ago the day before my birthday, so they try to make up for it a bit. (the year my grandpa died they obviously couldnt do anything for my birthday because of that, but at the last minute they gave me a pumpkin pie with candles on it. it was a nice gesture considering how busy and upset they were with funeral planning, at least they didnt completely forget about me)

Yeah, it's kinda the same since my grandmother died. She'd always send a card, call me and take me out to eat. I enjoyed that.

I mean, even if mom is unable to get me a present, she still tries to make the day (or the days surrounding it) special.

The most I ever get from anyone else is a card. I mean, out-of-town relatives is understandable, but the ones who live here? Please.

Christmas is the same way. I sometimes feel like the bastard at a family reunion.

I don't even get a card from my only living grandmother...

I'm so sorry about how your family treats your birthday. :( *hugs* When was it? Happy belated birthday! You are a great person and deserve people who make you feel special. :)

Nope, you're early. It's the 27th.

And thank you! That means a lot!
