snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Last Unicorn (savifa))
Boy, was this weekend a fun one. /sarcasm -- First of all, on Friday, my computer crashed. I kept trying to figure out how to fix it, but with my limited computer skill, I didn't get too far. Eventually we figured out it was a virus of some sort from something I downloaded off of Limewire. Now, all the times I used it before, I never caught a thing, almost a week after upgrading my Limewire program -- BAM!-- I catch something. Am I the world's biggest jinx or what? So I had to go and buy Windows XP again (good-bye, Christmas) since the one I had bought originally was in storage. Then we had to reload it (along with an Anti-Virus program). It works since I'm back online again (obviously). So now my task is to try and locate all of my bookmarks that I had (which were quite a few). I didn't lose everything and was able to find some that had been saved... when I still used IE. However, my ones from Firefox I haven't been able to find. And I lost all of my stuff in My Documents, which included a ton of stuff I downloaded as well as my digital pictures.

As if that wasn't enough, Saturday night, after coming back from errands and eating a nice dinner at Cracker Barrel, I get severe stomach discomfort. I mean, it was pretty bad. At first I thought I had gotten food poisoning from something I ate, but then I called mom (who was staying with my grandmother) to ask if my grandma was feeling OK since we had the same thing. She said she was fine. So it must just be me. I was feeling wretched enough that I skipped watching FMA and SC on TV that night. Needless to say, I didn't feel up enough to go to church the next morning.

By mid-afternoon, I was feeling better, so mom and I decided to go to the movies. We went to see 'Pride and Prejudice.' I was familiar with the story since I've read most of the book and have seen the mini-series several times. Mom, not quite so much. Now, I had to stop myself from comparing the movie version from the television version which I fell in love with. I thought the movie version was very well done, actually. The setting and the costuming were a little darker, but I thought it was a bit more realistic that way. The dialogue wasn't changed too much and for me, it was a little easier to comprehend. I dunno. Maybe I need a slightly dumbed down version after all, as loathe as I am to admit it. The scenery and the music were absolutely beautiful. I wouldn't object to getting the soundtrack for it. And I was very surprised to find that Jenna Malone played Lydia! I kept picturing her from the movie 'Stepmom'. Come to think of it, she was kind of bratty in that one, too.

This morning I was a little queasy yet, but I feel pretty OK now. I just hope that whatever it is I have, it goes away soon. I hate feeling crappy...

Well, I'm going to read my FL, anf try and find some more links to reestablish. Oh, joy.

Damn, sorry to hear about the 'puter crash. =( But at least you got it back up again.

I had stomach troubles this morning, too. Totally random cramping made me spent the first ten minutes of Psychology doubled over in one the bathroom stalls. (probably more than you wanted to know, but it was such a wonderful way to start the day that I had to share it with someone.)

Yeah. I mean, if I hadn't, I'd be literally going crazy. I mean, cut off from my one connection to the outside world? Not happening. I mean, sometimes I feel like the "Girl In The Plastic Bubble."

Well, feel free to share with me. I mean, I have my own fair share of stomach ailments. From my Crohn's Disease to my problems from this weekend, I'm the "go to girl" for intestinal troubles. And I actually came close to being doubled over Saturday night. I thought for sure I was going to lose my dinner. If it would've made me feel better, I'd have welcomed it, to be frank.

I know, more TMI, but what're you to do?

Jena Malone rocks. I was thrilled when I realized she was in it. :)

I had to do a double take. Now, I'd have to see it again just be double check her being in it. Not that I need an excuse as it is...

Definitely not. It was an awesome movie.

True that. Of course I absolutely adored the mini-series that was made almost 10 years or so ago...

And another thing, I also had to do a double take when I saw that Tina Majorino plays Mac on Veronica Mars! I was like, "No wonder she looks so familiar!" I remember her from 'Corrina Corrina,' 'When a Man Love A Woman,' and *whispers* I'm glad she's back into a good role. I really like Mac.

I've never seen the actress in anything else. I would like to though - she rocks. :)

Well, I listed some of the stuff she's been in. They're not bad movies. And, if you're feeling brave enough, you may even attempt to watch 'Waterworld.' It's not as awful as people say it is, actually...

Heh. Would I ever be able to live that down? Seeing Waterworld, I mean? ;)

Only if you do it covertly...

For some reason, my stomach has been bothering me a lot this year. I can sit in a class and feel completely miserable >_< And have to fight the urge to run to the bathroom.

Yikes! I hope it's nothing serious!

BTW, I'm e-mailing you my address for Christmas Card purposes.

Aww, I hope you feel better soon. Food poisoning/stomach problems are the worst.
And good luck with the computer.

I feel much better now. I still don't know what it was. Maybe just a random 24 hour stomach bug or something...

Thanks!

I feel for you. Computer problems suck. I've had my share of them.

*Hugs*

hang in there,
Chris

Thank you. Well, everything seems to be better now -- computer and stomach respectfully. Since this computer is the only one I've got and I can't afford a new one (even though I'm trying to save up for a laptop), I'll have to stick with it for as long as I can.
