snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Jasper Cullen - bitchsmack)

My mascots for my trip. A friend of mine brings a stuffed Clifford the Big Red Dog on trips with her and photographs him in various settings and locations along the way. I figured I would do the same with mini Jasper and Alice here. I figure, 'Hey, why not.'

Why is it I seem to make the majority of my postings lately from work? Maybe it’s because whenever I get home, I’m too tired to care or to bother with it. And worry not, gentle readers. I only post whenever I have a bit of free time and in chunks, since I write it out on Word beforehand…

We had a double feature on Saturday. We went to see the movie with Kristin Bell (of Veronica Mars fame) called “You Again.” I thought it was pretty good. But then I’d make a terrible movie critic since I think the majority of the movies I see are pretty decent. But then, I only see the ones I WANT to see, so that might factor in.

We also went to see “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole.” It was amazing! The story itself was pretty good, but the animation alone is utterly fantastic. It was a good fantasy movie that tweaked all the fantasy loving aspects that I like, so it was worth it. Especially seeing it in 3D. Some movies seem to be over saturating the market with the whole 3D thing, but I think this movie was one that needs to be seen in 3D.

In the lobby of the theater we were in, they had some people from the Wildlife Hospital with some owls! I took quite a few pictures on my cell phone and uploaded them onto my Facebook. I dunno if those of you who are friends with me got a chance to see them or not. I might post them on here sometime, I dunno yet.

Anyway, there were two owls. One was a wee lil Screech Owl by the name of Gonzo. The other was a Great Horned Owl with the whimsical moniker of Owliver. Both were permanent residents of the hospital due to the fact they had broken their wings at some point and could no longer fly. So they are used as educational representatives. I bought me a stuffed Barn Owl since I’m a dork like that, LOL.

We went to get our suitcases out of our storage unit for our vacation. It seems we’ll be going at the right time for the fall colors, which is what we want. I’m trying not to squee out loud too much…

I want to go to the dollar theater sometime this weekend, but my poor sense of direction is being a hindrance. Even though the theater is the next town over from where I live (it’s practically one large city since they run right into each other), it’s practically a foreign country to me since I rarely ever go there. At least by myself. But, I must persevere! I want to see two movies there. “Scott Pilgrim”’ is showing. I wanted to go a second time when it was at the regular theater, but it left before I got the chance to. It seems there are few movies that stay in theaters for very long. It’s a shame really. The other one I want to see is… “Eclipse”. Yes, mock me if you must, but it was actually a pretty decent movie. Besides, moar Jasper!! Yes, even with his country-fried accent…

I usually go with mom, but those really aren’t two movies she’d be interested in seeing. Unless we go to separate movies, which we’ve done before. Plus, I could eat at my favorite deli next door!

Well, that’s all my sleep addled brain can think to write for now. See everyone on the flip side!

Hey all!!

Just a quickie update to let you all know I'm OK. I'm still in Indiana and am getting set to go to the State Fair early in the moring, which means I have to get up at the ass crack of dawn...

I'm not going to be able to check my FL any since my internet connection is a little iffy right now, so if there is anything you want me to see in particualr, just link it to me and I'll take a gander at it when I get the chance...

Laters!!!
