A big "T H A N K S" to everyone who left birthday greeting to me yesterday. I really appreciated it!! Made me feel good! Reminds me of a quote I read somewhere: "My friends are an oasis to me, encouraging me to go on. They are essential to my well-being." -- Dee Brestin
OK, as to the contents of the Mystery Box, they are as follows:
Veronica Mars Season One -- I think mom was as excited about this as I was. She said to me, "Now I can see what happened in the First Season!" We've been watching the second season on television, and she never got to see the first one.
Mystery Science Theater 3000 Vol. 7 -- There are a few on here that I'd never seen before, so that's exciting!
Mystery Science Theater 3000 Vol. 9 -- Mom asked if I had all the set and I said I was missing quite a few of them, but I was slowly getting there!
Under the Iron Sea by Keane -- I liked their previous CD I got, so I wanted their newest one. I'm listening to it right now!
So, that was my mystery box! And I extend my gratitude to the paternal figure who sent it to me (oh, and I also have my Christmas list drawn out already. Just FYI).
I also received some cards as well. I even got a couple of electronic ones, so that was very nice. The others I have hanging on my door.
The activities of yesterday included... washing my sheets and taking a shower. Thrilling, I know. I also watched a few episodes of the 'Fushigi Yuugi' DVD I have, so hopefully I can get them watched and sent in (so no more harassment,
elantis). Mom said we might go out to dinner this weekend. I just have to decide where to go.
So, it's been a pretty nice birthday. And I think, even though I'm technically no longer in my 20's, I still feel like a youngster, so all is good.

Trivia of the day: Fashion in the U.S. during the late 1950s had interesting restrictions. Women's trousers usually had side fastenings, as front zippers for women were considered "naughty."
