snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Jacen Solo)
Even though I've sorta written about this before, it's something that's popped back into my mind again. I guess I'm still reeling from the events in Betrayal and the inevitable repercussions that will come.

Anyway, to get back on topic, something kinda bugged me about this whole thing. I mean, they (Jacen and Tenel Ka) obviously want to keep Allana's paternity a secret for her safety, but isn't there gonna be some suspicions aroused? I mean, Ta'a Chume obviously has suspicions, or else she wouldn't have sent assassins, but what about everyone else? I mean, there's a lot of nobles vying for the Queen's attentions and she's more than willing to have them think that one of them could be Allana's father. However, this begs the question: would they have a reason to? I mean, they all saw Jacen come and visit her and I have no doubt that they were aware of his "being" with her (I'm pretty sure), so all they'd have to do was put two and two together. Even though she did slow the baby's growth so that the time line would be cast into question, would this also mean that she'd have to have "been" with someone else in order to further cast doubt on the paternity? Curious. Also, when her and Jacen were "together" was it a first for either one of them? And if not, who was?

See! See the kind of questions that plague me?! Argh! I blame ATACT. We're all a bunch of pervs on there, I swear. Discussing the sex lives of various characters and wanting to molest others (like Hakkai for instance). Gah! No wonder I'm warped. It didn't help that I mentioned this very thing (although to a much lesser degree) in a comment to [livejournal.com profile] secret_windows yesterday...

OK, on other news. This weekend:

Friday:

We went to the spaghetti dinner that the youth at our church had for a fund raiser. It was pretty good. I've been spoiled by my mom's spaghetti, but our music minister made the food, and he's a really good cook, so it was very tasty.

Later, we went home and watched the "AFI 100 Movies 100 Cheers" that we had taped. I like watching those because I like seeing the movies that are chosen and what they have to say about them.

Saturday:

Mostly we were dong stuff around the house. Mom was hanging some pictures and I was helping her determine if they were straight and handing her the various tools of the trade. Then my aunt called to see if she wanted to go with her to do a few errands, which she did. So I was left to my own devices (evil laugh). When she got back, we went grocery shopping, because we knew we'd not be able to do it on Sunday.

Sunday:

Father's Day! After church, we headed to my aunt's for a cook out. My mom manned (or should I say 'womanned') the grill to give my uncle, who usually does it, a break. I helped her by fetching stuff she needed from the kitchen. We had an additional guest with us. My cousin's ex-husband has a son from another woman, and he was there. He seemed pretty nice. He's from Pennsylvania. That was pretty much all of our day. Afterwards, mom had to take some more stuff to storage. It wasn't much, so it didn't take very long. We had to stop and get some antifreeze for my car. I hope I don't have another leak. That was my problem last time. Also, we had to change the bulb in my passenger side brake light. However, now it doesn't work at all and mom thinks there may be a short in the fuse somewhere. My turn signal still works, but it blinks a lot faster than the other one, so it seems like it's on a sugar high or something...

And I sent dad an e-mail for Father's Day. I know it was sort of impersonal, but sentiment was appreciated. I would've called, but I don't think we have long distance and my cell phone doesn't have a strong signal for long distance. I think he appreciated the sentiment for what it was, though.

I'm still not having any luck in my search for the Nanne Grönvall song. [livejournal.com profile] elvenmoon was a real sweetheart and tried to help me by downloading it and then uploading it onto a file sharing program so that I could download it. Problem is though, that once I downloaded it, it wouldn't play. It downloaded into a non-recognizable format that couldn't play in anything. I couldn't even try to convert it into an mp3 format. *grumbles* I tried Google-ing again, but I was only able to find a better quality of the AMV that I originally heard it from. I mean, I like the AMV, but I want to find a way to listen to the song on it's own. *yanks out hair in frustration* So, now I have to try and find some other way of getting it. It's times like this when I miss having LimeWire. I mean, virus-filled or not, it was helpful in finding the more obscure songs.

Trivia of the day: According to a recent Gallup poll, 11 percent of the U.S. population believes in ghosts and other supernatural entities.
