snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Jaina Solo)
We stopped by our old house yesterday. We hadn't planned on it, but we ran into one of our old neighbors and she told us of what our former landlord was doing to fix up the place. So we went and peeked in the windows. I felt like a burglar for some reason. Anyway, he completely replaced the carpeting and repainted the walls and replaced all the windows as well as a new screen door. He layed down tile instead of linoleum, also. There were new kitchen cabinets and a new sink. I was like, "Damn! Why didn't he fix everything up while we we still living there?! What, it didn't matter that it was practically falling apart on top of us?!" I mean, all the stuff he did was stuff that needed to be done in the 7 plus years we lived there, but he never did a damn thing about it. Pissed me off. I hope he loses money on it. I know I'm not supposed to be bitter, but at the moment, I am. And, as if that wasn't unbelievable enough, he went and bought the house a few doors from us!! I was like, "What the hell!! I thought he was in an all fire hurry to sell off all of his property down here so he could move out of state, and he goes and buys another house?!?! Then why was he in such a damn hurry to hustle us out?!" Asshole.

Now that I got that off my chest, on to more pleasant news. I scanned the pictures from the 'Star Wars' New Chronology and made some icons. I think they turned out pretty decent. I might post them on the repective sites, but I don't know yet. Wanna see? OK, you twisted my arm...

Not too shabby. I kinda want to use them, but I don't have any other icons I really want to cull at the moment. Maybe some other time.

And I'm rereading Furuba 11 and 12. Now that I've been reading the recent chapters, it's interesting to see the foreshadowing in some of the earlier volumes. It's amazing how much more insight you have everytime you read it all over again.

Trivia of the day: The term “anchorman” was coined with regard to the respected Walter Cronkite on CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite, likening his lead position to that of an anchor on a relay team. For a time in Sweden, TV news anchors were called “Cronkiters” in honor of Cronkite.
