snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (ES -- Awakening (xskadi))
Egads! it took me almost five hours just to run errands. I wasn't planning on going anywhere, but mom wanted her mouse, so I got her one. I got her the same one I have and I like it, so I hope she'll be happy. I also went to the bookstores ostensibly to try and find the latest book int he Star Wars Legacy of the Force series Exile. No luck. I did find a manga I was looking for ES 4.

I went to a few other places too. Target was where I got me some socks for work and a few cat toys as well as some sweets and a copy of Flushed Away. I grabbed lunch before I headed home.

[livejournal.com profile] elantis and I are trying to hash out a few guidelines for the forum. One of the other ones seems resistant to the idea. We just want to regulate a few things is all. We never really had to have very many rules before because we didn't have a lot of people and we were all fairly decent writers and managed to maintain a certain amount of credibility with our characters. Now that we have more people coming in, we need to try and maintain our respectability. Especially since we have one membered who completely ruined one of the characters with her poor skills and inability to stay within character. Reading her posts is like reading bad fanfic. Needless to say, I'm a little gun shy about allowing these potential new members to post without any knowledge whatsoever about them.

Well, I have to finish a load of towels and possibly clean some strawberries.

Mom was supposed to wash her sheets this weekend, but she didn't, so guess who had to do it? *points to self* Yup, that's right. Yours truly. And they had to be those waterbed sheets that are attatched at the bottom. I mean, I have a hard enough time trying to fold fitted sheets, waterbed sheets are even harder.

Anyway, last night I was feeling a little punkish. I think it was because I waited too long to eat. I hate it when that happens to me. I mean, I had to wait until mom finished fixing it before I could eat it, and these things take time most of the time. I don't know if I'm hypoglycemic or what. It's a bit of a pain, actually.

I'm having some minor issues with my forum. I mean, if someone's not complaining about one thing, it's something else entirely. Right now, it's on the color scheme. I mean, I personally don't notice it. I don't really pay all that much attention to it, but to a few, I guess it seems horrid. Hey, I didn't even come up with it. It was just 'given' to me when I made the forum. I admit to making the banner, and I think there are complaints about that, too. It's mostly just this one guy on there. He tends to come off as a bit of a know-it-all and it can be grating sometimes. I think he's in school for computer programming or something and he sometimes comes on and says that there are certain things that can be done better. I'm sorry. I didn't get an instruction booklet when I started it. I've been mostly doing it by trial and error. So I'm not exactly an expert or anything. Plus, he just likes to be nitpicky about a ton of stuff anyways. If anyone gets defensive, he gets on his high horse. It's like, he always has to win and he always has to be in the right. It's really annoying... And I know I'm not the only one who feels that way on there...

Sorry. I just needed to vent a little bit. I mean, I like the forum I run, but it's not always easy. *sighs*

An interesting meme I swiped from [livejournal.com profile] elvenmoon:

Hmmm, does this mean I'm semi-popular? It's interesting to say the least.

Oh, I forgot to mention. I made some icons this weekend. Four to be exact. Three are 'Star Wars' related (which I may post) and the other one is me experimenting with text icons. I don't think they turned out too bad, actually.

And I hope I don't get in too much trouble for downloading another song from iTunes. It was only one, though.

Trivia of day: Apricot trees were first cultivated in China, then they made their way to India, Armenia, and Persia. Before the thirteenth century, they arrived in England via Italy.
