snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (IchiRuki -- ahh love)
Well, now that the chaos of the Christmas Program is behind me, things look to be smoother. The program itself went off pretty well plus there was a little after party with yummy cookies and hot chocolate.

Saturday I went to a Body Shop make-up party with some ladies from work. It was very nice! I found a lot of things that I liked, but since I spent a wad on groceries earlier in the day, I kept my wallet closed. I'm pretty proud of myself for that, actually...

My boss is off all this week. It's kind of relaxing. Not that I've been slacking off or anything, it's just I can relax a little more and not have to worry about her looking over my shoulder or anything. Not like she does a lot, but you know how it is.

Mom is raising holy hell with T-Mobile because the two old phone lines we thought were canceled apparently weren't, so now we have to deal with that whole mess. I'd been paying the bill for the two we use right now, but it seems the other lines were going unpaid simply because we had no idea they were still active. So hopefully this won't count against us. The guy at the kiosk we got our new phones from didn't tell us we were supposed to cancel the phones ourselves because he made it sound like he was going to do it himself. GAH!! But, it sounds like things are getting straightened out.

I posted some pictures I scanned onto my Facebook and a few were of some old classmates of mine, so we'd been commenting back and forth about who's who and all that. It was kinda nice to reminisce like that. That was my main reason for getting a Facebook account in the first place anyway.

Wow. Only 10 days until Christmas...

Well, I got my brakes fixed... at almost $800! But, we were able to scrounge the money and pay for it. We probably won't feel the crunch until later...

Work was kinda hectic today. Since my mom had to take me in, I was there almost a half and hour earlier than usual. I had some charges to post, so I got started on those. It was fine until I got the last Monday's charges and there was this one lady who paid A LOT towards some old balances she had. Well, at first things were fine, then I found out that the girl who wrote the total down, had written the last digit over part of the stamp on the sheet, obscuring part of it. Needless to say, what I thought was a 1 was actually a 6. So I had to back off alllll the payments I had made (and I had to find ALL of them), so I could repay them and add that additional $0.05. *fnarrrrr* Then, I had to try to apply a payment that a patient mailed in, that no matter where I looked, I couldn't find the exact amount to be paid. Since I had to balance out, I applied to payments that added up to the total... approximately. Guh!!

Hopefully tomorrow will go a little bit smoother.

Sorry for boring you with work stuff... I just needed to vent.

We went to see Kung Fu Panda yesterday. It was very cute!

I didn't get my magazines sorted like I had wanted to this weekend. I spent most of my time scanning and uploading pictures onto my Facebook account. You can see some of them here if you want. It took more time than I though it would.

For shits and giggles, I filled out the OC meme [livejournal.com profile] tenel_ka posted on her journal for my two characters from Glitterstim Sunrise on the Kriff This! forum. I dunno if I'll post them or not.

Today was sorta slow. I didn't get any checks today nor any fee tickets, so I had to ask someone else for help with theirs. It wasn't too bad, though.

I uploaded a crapload of pictures onto my Facebook profile. Those of you who're on my profile and have a looksee. A few of them are of me when I was a kid. Just for a lark!

The Purse Party wasn't exactly what I expected. I was expecting more along the lines of like a Princess House or a Body Shop party, where you sit, mingle, have snacks and whatnot. Instead, this was, you go in, look at the stuff laid out, pick something you want, but it and leave. Hmmm...

Well, in any event, I did get me a nice Coach purse, a pair of Chanel sunglasses, a Dooney & Burke purse for mom and a Tiffany necklace, all for $155! The purse genes inside me are happy.

Overall, my weekend was uneventful, which is nice once in awhile. I'm gonna massage my shoulder and maybe play some Wii. I dunno...

I am in love with this song. It's just so emotional and beautiful. Who cares if it's sung by Celine Dion. The woman has some pipes...

I was gonna try to play some WiiTennis tonight, but I was too tired. Maybe Friday. I need to get my "up" in my "at'em."

Hakuryuu is working fine now. Turns out it was a heat thing. The fan wasn't able to cool the computer fast enough, so it kind of locked up. The guy at the mac place downloaded an application that tells the fan to run faster so it'll cool the computer down faster.

Not much else to report. I added Catbook to my Facebook profile, so I have my kitties on there now. Little dickens. Gotta take over everything...

Now a few memes for the hell of it:

Former Beatles, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison teamed up once again to record a musical tribute to John Lennon. The result of that session became "All Those Years Ago". The song went to #2 on the pop music charts for three weeks. It was recorded on Harrison’s own Dark Horse label.

Well, it's official. I am a sheep. I joined Facebook. Since so many people I know are on it, I figured, "Why not!" I already have a MySpace (which I swore never to do...), so why not something else to suck away my time! So any of you who want to friend me (and know my name), you can. I have six people on there already, more are welcome!

I have to try to get off work a little early tomorrow so I can take my MacBook and see why it wont start up. I tried doing what the instructions say, but they might as well be written in Greek or something for what it's worth. Still, I tried to no avail. So I'm gonna take it in to the local Mac specialist and see what they can do. Hopefully 1. they can salvage my laptop (I've formed quite an attachment to it, you know) and 2. it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg. Wish me luck!*lights incense and says chants over Hakuryuu*

Work was a bit hectic today. I had to catch up with the stuff I missed for the past two days. In actuality it didn't take as long as I thought it would. I think I'm getting faster. Still, after having two days off, it took me a bit to get used to the ol' routine. Not that I was playing hooky or anything those last two days or anything, although I did watch me some of my Count Duckula DVD's. LOL

I tried to play some more Mario Galaxy, even to the point of starting all over again. Yet, I STILL get stuck at the friggin' Black Hole on Planet D. Once I got soooooo close. I was able to get past the Piranha Plant and onto the switches, but when I went to hop up onto the wall to turn the wall switches off... I overshot it and fell into the Black Hole again. *sobs*

I played more of my Bleach game and moved onto the Arcade Mode. First I played as Renji (and kicked ass) then I played as Ichigo. I still won, but it took me a few times to win against Hitsugaya. As soon as I saw I was up against him, I was all, "Man, I am so gonna get my ass kicked." Of course, it doesn't help matters any that he has those ice wall shield thingies he uses. Still, eventually I was able to defeat him. Hell, I had a hard enough time defeating Uryuu!

So, the Super Bowl was last night. The Giants won. I was happy. Truthfully I wasn't rooting for either team, but I kinda sided with the underdog, so I was cool with it. The commercials were great though! A few of them made me laugh out loud. We were at friends of ours' house, so that made it all the better. It was fun.
