Today at work was good, except for a visit from the
Red Tide. Blech. The other ladies were very sympathetic however and I didn't do too badly actually. I mistakingly packed Cheet-O's in with my lunch today and my stomach almost had an uprising, but things stayed calm. Thankfully. The thing I really hate about the RT (aside from the blood and the cramps), is the cross between feeling hungry and nauseated. I keep thinking, "Am I hungry enough to risk possibly losing it all later?" but it generally tends to go smoothly. The thing I really need is a good belch. Not one of those wannabe belches, but one of those beer-guzzling-college-boys-at-a-frat-house-party belches. I'm talkin' about a BELCH. Crude as it may be, it feels loads better afterwards.
And mom stayed home today due to the fact she felt completely miserable from her sinus drainage. I think she vacuumed. Anyway, it was nice actually being able to get home straight after work instead of waiting for mom to get off. But, it'll be very short lived (unless she's able to find a ride home by some miracle).
For some reason, I can't reply to my comments I received yesterday. It says there's an error of some sort. I'll try again later.
And finally, happy birthday wishes for two of my LJ friends,
toriru4ever and
sailorptah. Hopefully you'll have many more in the future.
Trivia of the day: Art Linkletter's Kids Say the Darndest Things was the best-selling nonfiction book in the U.S. for two years in a row: 1957 and 1958.
