Well, I survived Charley (yay). Now Earl's brewing and I hope he misses us. Danielle's (nice name ^_^) out in the Atlantic, but I think she'll miss us, though. We had a bit of an adventure on Friday night. As the wind and rain from Charley was blowing, a few houses down a powerline caused a tree in back of one of the houses to catch fire. Now, it wasn't an out of control blaze, but it was dangerous. The main concern was that the fire would go down the power lines and enter the houses. Also, the transformer was only a few feet away from the fire. Scary! I took pictures so once I get them developed I'll try to post them along with the pics of me dressed up for my class reunion.

One of my Netflix movies I watched this week-end in the calm before the storm and then the aftermath, was "Peter Pan." It was pretty good. They added some romantic elements to it that I thought were pretty sweet. My favorite scene was when Wendy gave Peter her "hidden kiss." I guess because I'm a born romantic! The kid that played Peter was pretty good. I tell you, if I was a 12-13-year-old girl, I'd be crushing.

The moats are still working. Now, I just have to get Missy to stop drinking from them...

I keep hearing/seeing doom and gloom about the hurricanes, so I'm glad to hear it wasn't as bad as the media makes it seem. (Although I'm sure the people at the center of it all really are suffering!)

Hey, so it worked? Maybe I ought to patent a special feeding/water dish that also repels insects. ^_- (Nah!)
