snapdragon76Well, I got some more Slayers DVD's from Netflix. Yay! I watched the third disc, have yet to watch the first. I probably will this afternoon. Then, I can send them in and get more!!! w00t!
Mom kind of had a bad week this week. The doctor she works for was being a jerk (as usual) and she got to the point where she's seriously considering changing doctors. He probably won't realize until she's gone just how much she does for him. Then, yesterday, our landlord came by because we said we were having problems with the air conditioner. After he "fixed" it (it still doesn't work), he mentioned the fact that we're still behind on rent (from when mom was out of work a few years ago). He said he wants to sell his rental properties so he can retire on the money from them. Well, that's all well and good and all, but he's probably asking too much for them. Anyway, it's not as though it's easy trying to come up with $2,000 in the first place. So after he left, mom was pretty upset for the rest of the day. I hope this week will be better for her.
I found a way to try and stay focused when I pray at night. I use a "worry stone" I have. It's not really a 'stone' per se, really just Lucite with an angel in it. Anyway, I hold it in my hand and squeeze it to keep my mind focused and not fall asleep in the middle (something which I have a tendency to do). It seems to be working so far.
