snapdragon76Mom is doing better. The GI doc came in and examined her and he said it sounded more like diverticulitis than colitis.
He said they would give her oral antibiotics tomorrow and have her try soft foods.
Up till now she was on a clear liquid diet.
If it goes well, there is a strong chance she'll be able to go home tomorrow afternoon.
I dunno if it indicates progress, but she was moved to a different room and a different floor.
He did say she'd have to restrict her diet a little bit, like no berries, nuts and popcorn.
The killer here is the popcorn. Mom loves her some popcorn.
Then she has to do the low fiber for a few days followed by high fiber.
After her innards heal up a bit, she has to go in for a colonoscopy to pinpoint the cause of all these shenanigans.
