snapdragon76I wonder if anyone is still reading my journal since I post so infrequently. Right now I'm on my desktop since my mom is using my laptop for the time being since hers upchucked on her. I don't know why hers all of a sudden stopped working when they're both the same age and mine works fine. Technology...
The only thing with using my desktop is that the keys on my keyboard stick sometimes and I have to double check to make sure I didn't drop any letters.
I'm recovered from the pneumonia and subsequently got sun poisoning. So that was fun! But that's getting better now and hopefully I will have no more health issues for awhile. We are struggling financially though. The job market isn't as robust as it was even a few months ago when we first moved here. It sounds like mom is doing a phone interview, so maybe it'll lead to something soon. It's frustrating when you can't even buy groceries...
My dad is coming to see me tomorrow. He and my step-mother and the people they look after went to Atlanta for some sort of RV thing and they're gonna camp at a nearby RV campground overnight before heading back to Michigan. We'll probably have a bite to eat and visit some. So I cleaned the house like a demon on Thursday and Friday. Mostly because when we were sick (yes, mom was feeling pretty lousy there herself for a time), we didn't really keep up with housework and we kind of 'nested' a little.
I hope to take pictures in the next day or so while it still looks nice so that I can post and people and see what our house looks like. Mom and I are planning a trip to Roan Mountain to try and get some pictures of the foliage since the colors are changing.
School-wise things are moving forward. I found out I do have to take the GRE after all, so I need to come up with the money for that and hopefully register with the Office for Students with Disabilities so that I can perhaps be exempt from the math part of it like I have been with other standardized testing. I only have a few more weeks to do this with too since my deadline is November 1st. Although I was told there is a little leeway in regards to the deadline, so here's hoping.
