I don't know how familiar you are with the new MLP series, but I think the artist did it as a pun on the name of the main character, Twilight Sparkle. I find it hilarious!

No, not familiar with the new MLP. Although, "Twilight Sparkle" sounds like it goes way, and the character has been around a long time.

then again, I can't remember any names. Care Bears I remember.

Here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Little_Pony:_Friendship_Is_Magic) is the Wikipedia article about the new series. I've seen a few episodes and it's pretty cute. Half my my Flist is obsessed with it.
