Well, this weekend was kind of busy. For starters, mom and I got our respective hairs cut. She also got a perm. I just stuck with a haircut. I used to have to get perms and I hated it with a burning, blinding passion.
I'd post a picture, but for some reason Semagic is being a bitch and not wanting to upload any pictures. DD:
If you follow my Tumblr account, you can see it on there.
You can see it here for convenience sake.
We then ate lunch afterward at the local brewery and grille. We just had the burgers, no beer. They were pretty good.
Then we got groceries and made a detour through the local park, mostly so mom could eye locations for photoshoots.
The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful. I did manage to clean my bathroom on Sunday. That's quite an achievement for me, who has to be really motivated to clean. Sad, I know. I rewarded myself with Twinkies later. :DD
I got a new roomie today at work. Yes, another one. She seems to be more permanent though. I got that impression because IT made sure to switch the computer over to her name as well as the phone. She seems pretty nice though. Young, like in her mid twenties. She used to be a Medical Secretary bust she got burned out with it and wanted a change. There was an opening in our department and decided to apply. I think I like her.
I also cleaned out my bottom drawer in anticipation of our department's move in late May/early June. I accumulated a lot of takeout napkins and plastic silverware for some reason. My trash can was full of pretty much nothing but napkins and plastic utensils.
Been reading more of my recently acquired manga over the weekend. Mainlining more Ouran as well. Man, I have a sickness...

I'm glad the office roomie sounds nice! Having someone to fool around with a bit during breaks will be fun!
Am I following your TUMBLR? I'm not sure? I hope I am!

Yes, she does sound nice! And I doubt we'll 'fool around.' For one thing, she's married and I don't swing that way, girlie... ;DD
I sure hope it's you. Otherwise someone who has your name liked the Ada Lovelace image I posted recently...

Hahaha IT'S THE GHOST WITHIN THE COMPUTER.

The more common tearm I think you were meaning is goof off. I do plenty of that on my own, LOL!
She seems pretty focused on her work, but she doesn't seem to be nosy either, which is good. The last thing I need is someone up in my business. I've spoken with her a few times and she seems pretty fun and down to earth though. I mean, I doubt I'll have the same kind of closeness with her as I did my former roomie.
*gasp* CALL THE GHOSTBUSTERS!!!!!!

Its odd because I also have been in a semi-cleaning mode lately. I rampaged in the living room and kitchen for a while and keep trying to dent in my own room. To no avail. But I understand the need to be motivated to clean.
yay for roomies at work. And I hope you do get along with this one.
And the haircut is cute. A perm would be... too much, and much less cute. :D

My grandmother kept TONS of napkins in her glove box when she still had a car. Those thing would spring out at you every time you opened the glove box. Mom and I called her the Napkin Queen.
We want to do a more thorough cleaning of the rest of the house, but we need to find a high powered vacuum cleaner to vacuum our carpets before we can shampoo them.
So far so good!
Thanks! And I refuse to do anymore perms. REFUSE! I hated it when I had to get them done and I had enough, so I keep my hair at a reasonable length so I don't have to anymore. DDX

I used to have to get the home perms sometimes too. My ninth grade class picture you see this poodle sitting atop my head. But my mom basically forced me too since whenever I wear my hair longer, it tends to get stringy and fly away. That stopped once I chopped my hair off. Been wearing it no longer than shoulder length since.
