Some reflection time

Well, here we are at the end of the year once more. Funny how that keeps coming around, doesn't it?

All in all, 2010 hasn't been too bad of a year. True, my employers had scandal which we are still feeling the repercussions of and finances haven't been the greatest (I haven't been to a bookstore in months. MONTHS!), but we still have a roof over our heads and food to eat and live in relative comfort so all isn't too bad.

Saw some excellent movies this year and discovered some new shows and music. Went to a few new places and made friends with a few new people.

We didn't move to Tennessee like I had wanted (even if we had an excellent time visiting) and saw one of my dear friends move away.

Lost my grandfather this year, but gained a new baby cousin.

Discovered the awesomeness that is Kindle and discovered (and rediscovered) some new books and authors.

I hope next year will be good to us and that maybe I'll get to do a few things I always wanted, like go to a con for the first time EVER! *crosses fingers* Discover new things and maybe get out a little bit more.

I hope to make some inroads to us moving to Tennessee in the near future, maybe by 2012.

I hope to not get too disillusioned by my job and some of the people therein. Maybe another position will open up for me. Maybe I'll finally discover what I want to do with my life. Maybe I can get my tax ID and sell some photographs to bring in a wee bit of extra income.

I'll try and look back on this post in a years' time and see what all I was able to accomplish.

I guess we'll see what happens.

For plans tonight, Mom and I are going to a friend of ours house for some games and food and fun. I'm looking forward to it.

Good luck with moving to Tennessee! Maybe some place you didn't think of will open up as well. I do understand the desire to get out of Florida! Hopefully, things will open up more with your job. *hugs*

And the Kindle is truly, truly awesome. Did you see the new lending feature now? I can't wait to try that out.

Yeah, it's one I try to have the majority of the time. It's hard sometimes, but I just keep on truckin'!
