snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Rei)
Well, I had an interesting start of the workday today. It seems that sometime over the weekend, the water heater had burst and leaked all over the floor and down the ceiling on the second floor. Overhearing what one of the maintenance men said, it seems one of the elements had rusted and sprung a leak. And since the wall I sit in front of is on the other side of the utility closet where the water heater was, I had some water near my desk. I had to mop up as much as I could so I wouldn't track it hither and yon. Plus, the maintenance crew had to suck up as much of the water as they could using industrial vacuum cleaners. Of course this means there will be even MORE mildew in the place, which my allergies will absolutely love. But, it's not as bad as the people on the floor below us, who had the ceiling tiles cave in due to the water. I didn't go downstairs to survey the damage, but I guess it must've been pretty intense due to the fact the FRIGGIN' CEILING CAVED IN!!!

This weekend was pretty mellow overall. Saturday mom and I went to a double feature. First we saw "Shrek Forever After" and then "Letters to Juliet." Both were good, btw. In between, we stopped by the mall to try and get mom off of my cell phone plan since she has her own now due to an upgrade. Which they inevitably tell us we need to call customer service in order to do so... *facepalm*

Sunday we stayed in all day. I didn't even bother getting out of my pajamas the entire time. In the evening, we settled in to watch the series finale of "Lost." It was a good ending, but still left a few questions lingering. I followed along with [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda's liveblog as much as I could until the battery to my laptop ran low.

Funny I saw a double feature of Shrek Forever After and Iron Man 2 with Dad and the Midget on Saturday at the drive in. And honestly... I wasn't really that impressed by either. But we all know I'm a bit on the strange side of life. Shrek was watchable and I would recomend my friends rent it but I wouldn't necessarily say it was 'good'.
Iron Man 2 is slow... just... slow.

And good to see that cubicle vs waterheater turned out... okay. You could always ask if you could wear one of those hypoalergenic dust masks if your allergies bother you TOO bad at work. You might look funny but at least you'll be functioning like a human instead of an allergin induced human.

yes, you are a bit on the strange side, but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Hmmm, hopefully it won't get bad enough where I have to resort to a mask. If it gets bad, I might have to look into a desk sized HEPA filter.
