Man, today was a long day.
Dad and I spent the day together since we don't see each other very often, so it was nice.
First, we went out on the boat. We went almost the entire length of the lake. Even though the sun was out, with the boat moving it was still pretty chilly.
When we got back, we then left to go into Battle Creek to the bookstore. I kinda went a little overboard.
tenel_ka, you'd be proud of me. I bought both The Long Walk and Lisey's Story. You kept talking about them so much, I had to see what the big damn deal was. Dad is a King fan and he'd mentioned he'd read TLW before.
I also bought a copy of Watchmen. I want to read it before the movie comes out next year. Plus, it looks pretty interesting.
Then we ate lunch at Cracker Barrel.
After that we stop by my step-brother's store in the mall. He has two (2) toy stores and there's talk of opening a third one. He sells fun and cool educational type toys. I got a few things. An Ugly Doll and a couple of Mad Libs for mom and I to do in the car on the way to Maryland and back home again.
Then, we drove into Marshall and to the theater my family owns there to watch the third Mummy movie. It wasn't too bad. I mean, it wasn't the same without the original Evey. We did see the trailer for HP 6 though, which made it worth it. Hey, it was free...
After that movie was over, we had to head back to Battle Creek to catch the 7:05 showing of Hellboy. It was awesome! I really liked it! I especially liked Abe, He's my fav. *wishes she had her Abe icon to use*
Finally, we ate a late supper at Big Boy.
Tomorrow there's a shindig a few houses down from us for a wedding reception, but that isn't until about 4 or so...

I mentioned to my dad that I have two friends who live in MI. One in Livonia and one (you) who lives in Royal Oak. He says they're both kinda far from where we are now. Click on the location link in my entry to see where Coldwater is...
He says Royal Oak is a nice area actually.

I hope you enjoy the books! ^______^~!

I hope to get a chance to read them. Sometimes when I buy books, I'm not able to read them right away due to the sheer amount I have... It's a sickness I say.

I had to make sure I paid attention to even the minute stuff in the background because it was generally important later on.
And I kinda guessed that the "The End Is Nigh" guy was really Rorschach...
