snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Snape -- die now)
For some reason my bumper seems to attract other bumpers.

I went to the store today to pick up a few things for dinner tonight. When I was getting ready to pull out, I noticed the car behind me had their lights on like they were about to pull out. So I waited. It didn't move, so I thought it was OK for me to pull out. I was halfway out when I noticed the car behind me had started to pull out, so I went to change into drive so I could pull forward and let them by, but I wasn't quite fast enough and he smushed into me. Fantastic.

I pull back into the space, praying to God that this guy wasn't litigious. He got out and examined his bumper. He walked toward my door and I opened it. He said, "My bumper looks fine, but you have a little bit of paint off of yours." I get out and look at my bumper. True, there was a bit of paint scraped off, but otherwise it was intact. I said, "It's doesn't look too bad, so it's no big deal to me." He said it was fine with him and we both return to our respective cars. I wait for him to leave, then I leave.

The scrape on my bumper is indeed noticeable, but since it doesn't impede my ability to drive the car, it's no skin off my nose. Besides, I really don't wanna get into a whole tangle of insurance rates and whatnot for a little scratch. I will say this though. Saturn's have some damn good bumpers.

In other news, I bought a copy of Juno. I heard it was good, so I'm willing to give it a try. What?! Rent?! How absurd!!

Today in History: 1970
Deliverance, James Dickey's controversial best-selling novel about a four-man canoe trip through the backwoods of northern Georgia, which turned from a fun-filled vacation into a murderous nightmare, was published. It was later made into a hit film, starring Burt Reynolds, Jon Voight, Ronny Cox, and Ned Beatty.--it also has the most notorious banjo riff in history.

Not quite a foot. Like I said, it's noticeable, but nothing major or anything. I mean, I might get a few strange looks and questions and such. *shrugs*

Woah. Sorry to hear that. Bumper rompers are no fun-- no matter how minor they are >__<. I'm just glad that you're okay. I'm also glad that your car didn't sustain any serious damage. Gotta have a way back and forth ^__^.

Juno...Juno...Juno...Oh yeah! That's the movie about the pregnant teen(?), right? If I'm not mistaken, it received rave reviews from lots of movie critics. You let me know if it's worth watching. I trust you since your taste is just as perfect as my own *lol*.
