snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (H/G - *giggles*)
One nice thing about working a week before a major holiday is that you can sometimes get off a wee bit early. I got off at 3:30 today. There were only two other people there besides me, so...

I stopped by the bookstore afterwards (mostly to see what has arrived, not necessarily manga even though I looked there). It was packed! I had a hard time even looking for a parking space! I'd hate to see what it's like on Monday!

I've been watching a mini HP marathon over the course of the week. It's interesting to see everyone grow up over the course of the series. Currently I'm on GoF. Any time Harry interacts with either Mr. or Mrs. Weaslely, I chuckle to myself and say "future in-laws!"

I've also been reading HBP in preparation for the movie to be coming out (err... next fall). It also happens to be my favorite out of the seven, with DH coming in second. Any of you who know me well can figure out why. *cough*

And I got cards over the past couple of days!! Yesterday I got [livejournal.com profile] kawaiiayu's and today I got [livejournal.com profile] umadoshi's and [livejournal.com profile] tenel_ka's.

Ysa, the card you sent was very cute, however due to the brutality of the postal system, the envelope was torn and a few of the decolletage fell off... :-(

Heather, the card you sent was the exact same one I sent out last year!!!! It just proves we have the same off center sense of humor!!! XD SOUL MATES!!!!!! LOVE the stick figure of lil Jacen!! Hur hurrrr...

Mom and I are planning to see a movie on Monday (interspersed with our DVD-a-thon). She was torn between Enchanted and the new National Treasure. I explained that Enchanted has been out longer and might not be in theaters too much longer, so that's what I think we're going to go with.

Well, I hope everyone has a pleasant weekend and a safe holiday. I plan on doing a short entry possibly on Monday.

I never trust the postal service to do much of anything right, honestly. :/ Hopefully that'll be the worst thing that happens this year.

I think mom would agree with that sentiment considering she'd ordered some DVD's that came from Canada and they took several weeks to finally arrive. I told her instead of being sent by CanadaPost, they were being sent by Pony Express instead.

*wry* And then there was the time I mailed Christmas cookies to the US and one batch got held up by the US postal service--it finally got delivered the next March. Oddly enough, 3-4 month-old cookies were not eaten when they finally arrived. (And that was the end of my sending perishables across the border.)

Maybe they were being paranoid or something, what with the Unabomber sending bombs through the mail. But I would think that one could tell the difference between cookies and bombs...
