snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Cloud/Tifa)
Barf-O-Rama. I just loooove coming home to a sick cat. Urgh.

Didn't post on Friday because I didn't have much to post about. We had the company picnic on Sunday at the local zoo. It was pretty fun. Tiring, though. Being out in the sun for most of the day tends to do that to you. But, I'm glad we went. Usually we aren't able to make it because our church usually has its Ladies Retreat at the church camp. We didn't go this year due to a number of factors. For one thing, we're saving up for a friend of ours' wedding that's being held out of town on Memorial Day weekend and for another, since the "change of ownership" of our church, it'd be too strange to go this year.

OK, to my gamer friends out there: I'm contemplating getting a gaming system (just what I need. Something else to suck away my time). I'm leaning toward a Wii (mostly because it's less expensive). So, any suggestions/recommendations? Mostly to ease of use, types of games (non-violent ones please), ect.

And, finally something stolen from [livejournal.com profile] tricianna:

Yeah, for some reasons she does this and then she's fine for awhile. It's strange. Maybe we need to take her to the vet once and for all.

The Nintendo Wii is definitely cheaper, but the games are good. Heck, you'd probably be thrilled just playing the Wii Sports game that comes included with the Wii. It's actually a good game for exercise, and also to help you get the hang of how to use the remote and nunchuk. I'm currently playing Super Paper Mario and loving that, but it's a platformer and rpg rolled together, so I don't know how much you'd enjoy it.

Still, the Wii was made for gamers and non-gamers alike, and I can say that I love mine!

Yeah, I'm intrigued by the bowling one. If I get one, maybe I can improve my game.

Exercise? Hmmm, interesting. I need to be more active.

OK, then. Chalk up one more vote for the Wii!

Wii is awesome... in fact I know SEVERAL people in the area who either want one or love the one they have.

I would recomend as far as games to Sonic and the Secret Rings or the Zelda game. There are also quite a few good Star Wars games on it and coming out for it you may want to look into.

Have you played on one before? Is it pretty easy to use?

Zelda looks interesting, definitely. Considering my fantasy leanings. Plus Link is kinda cute...

Star Wars?! That's be an awesome game to play on a Wii! In particular due to the joysticks doubling as lightsabers!

I've not played it as the one time I would have had the chance to some majorly gamer boys were playing and I didn't want to "interupt" them. But it looked fun... and they were only playing Wii Sports... so any game will be fun.

And yeah... after a few seconds of fidling with it you'll figure it out.

Yeah, don't want to interrupt the gamers while they're in the moment.

I played my cousin's PS2 once, and I got the hang of it enough to kick some ass...

I personally think Wiis are a myth :p I've never seen one. Nobody I know owns one, and certainly haven't spotted it in stores xp

I didn't see any in at Wal-Mart, but I saw several in at the local GameStop, so I think they do exist!
