Here I am, typing this on Hakuryuu right this minute! *squuuueeeee* I'm still learning the rope of how it all works, especially since I'm not used to using a Mac, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually. For instance, in posting an LJ entry. This is my second one since for some reason I lost my first one. Mom had to go to the FedEx place since no one was home when it was originally delivered, so I need to do something extra nice for her. And, dork that I am, I photographed the whole unpackaging procedure...

Work today was super stressful. I had Messages today and since most of the doctors and nurse Practitioners (except for one) , and so the messages were heavy today (on a normally light day). So, needless to say, I was frantic a bit. I was also beginning to feel the effects of my Crohn's also, which I didn't need. I have to meet with my Supervisor tomorrow morning, but I have no idea as to what it's in regards to. And, naturally, I tend to lean toward it being something bad... Ugh.

flamika, your card got sent back to me yesterday. I sent it to your school address, so maybe you could email it to me so I can compare it to the one I have in my address book.

Well, I'm gonna go and fiddle around with Hakuryuu some more and maybe peruse my FL some and try to find some of my links. Cool, this one is so much faster than Snoopy!

Yeah, I know all work is stressful, but I just don't like the way it's beginning to affect my health. And, I'm really anxious about this "meeting" tomorrow. But, I always tend to think the worse.

Welcome to the world of Mac. While perhaps not as sprawling as the PC world, we're a pretty tight-knit group. If you have any trouble adapting, feel free to post. Chances are someone can help. (Apple is about all I've ever known, and I do prefer it to the alternative.)

Thank ya for the welcome! I have about two other LJ friends who are also MacBook owners. I'm still learning the ropes, but it's not too hard to get the hang of, really...

One of these days, I'll have to post the pics of my un packaging process, but I have to get onto my desktop in order to do it.

You actually *name* your computers? I call mine names now and then, but none of them are fit for publication. I hope you enjoy your new one. I like mine-a Compaq Presario laptop I bought about a month ago.

Yes, I do. My desktop is called "Snoopy." And, yeah, I've called it a few of the other names myself (which is one of the reasons I bought this one).

I like it pretty well myself. It's definitely different when compared to a PC, but I'm getting the hang of how the OS works and all the features it has. It's definitely faster than my desktop, which is very nice!

I'm feeling so-so. It's off and on. I dunno when the symptoms will subside soon...
