Man, this week has been a bit on edge.
One of the girls I was sent to replace due to maternity had her baby. While it was a joyous occasion, she's gonna be out for 12 weeks. Now we can split the job duties between the rest of us (which there are 5) with not a lot of fuss, but what TPTB forgot to take into account was that the second girl will be leaving for her maternity leave in roughly 8 weeks. Needless to say, there's a bit of an overlap there in the absences. If they think I'm going to try to do the job of two other people as well as my own, they're not thinking clearly. Luckily word was mentioned that we need some extra hands soon, so hopefully something will happen.
Plus, next week is gonna be busy anyway, since one of the ladies is gonna be visiting her daughter-in-law who's going to be having a baby and one other lady has the day before Thanksgiving off, so we'll be down to three people, one of whom can't leave her workstation due to the type of job she has, so it's basically two of us. Fun fun fun.
Tomorrow we have a Body Works party to go to (much fun!) and I need to take a trip to the mall to purchase some more clothes for work. I do hope I can relax a little bit before Monday. Luckily (or unluckily if you care to look at it that way), next week is only a three day work week.
In case you missed it, my Christmas Card post is here.
There are some of you who moved and I don't have the new addresses. The post itself is locked and screened, but you can e-mail me if you prefer. If you want my address for the same purpose, e-mail me (addy is on my profile).

Trivia of the day: The South Pole is actually a desert environment, averaging about the same amount of monthly rainfall as the Sahara Desert.
