snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (L does NOT mean loser!! (meliachu))
Just got back from the vet's. The kids checked out pretty OK. Ori has what is known as "grit." Sometimes people can get bladder stones, well male cats tend to get bladder "grit" which makes it hard for them to pee. So the doc gave him a shot and some special food. We have to keep an eye on him to make sure he at least pees some and so that he's not lethargic and vomiting. He doesn't seem to be so far...

Missy has a sort of intestinal disorder of some sort. It's nothing serious since she didn't suffer from any weight loss. The doc gave her a shot and a pill for her worms as well as some hairball stuff. So I have some medicine to give her, but I'll wait until mom comes home since it'll take two of us since she fights us usually.

I watched Hellcats yesterday. I have no idea what it was about. There were some bikers, a soldier, a bar brawl or two and possibly a plot in there somewhere...

Today looks to be a slow day. I guess it's up to me to make my own fun. *malevolent laughter*

Trivia of the day: A prolific and imaginative writer, Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote 26 "Tarzan" books without ever visiting Africa.

I hope that's the only issues for your cats. I used to have a red tabby who also had trouble going to the bathroom, and the vet also diagnosed that he had blockage that could be cured by medicine. When that didn't work, we took him back in only to find out that he had a tumor. We had to put him to sleep... ;_; Take care of your kitties!

(I only got to read the first Tarzan book, and although the book was very inaccurate on animals -considering what little knowledge they had back then about gorillas and such- it was still a good read. I still need to read the second to find out who Jane chooses to be with.) ^_-

Well, that's why he told us to keep an eye on 'em to make sure that the problems get cleared up.

I, sadly, have never read any of the Tarzan books. I have so many books it takes me forever to get through them because life has a tendency to interrupt.

And I hope it's Tarzan...

I'm glad your kitties are okay. Good luck with the pill-giving!

Thank you! And it's not pills so much as it is a liquid, but she still squirms...

Hope your kitties are soon feeling better. I had a male cat 30 years ago who used to get "grit" in his bladder (the vet called them "crystals"). He had to be catheterized several times, but we finally found a food that worked well for him and he was fine from there on in. My present female cat has had intestinal problems ever since we got her; the vet thinks it may be a combination of having such a bad worm infestation when she was a kitten (we got her from a shelter) and allergies.

Ori's kinda picky about his food, but I'll make sure he eats the new stuff even if it kills me.

Missy is kinda getting up there in years, so I'm sure she'll have her fair share of medical problems from now on.

You should've named your girl Kaoru!!

Well, she does boss him around and beat him up on occasion. *snicker* He really doesn't live up to his namesake. He's a total wimp.
