snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Last Unicorn (savifa))
Mom's surgery went well. We had to be there by 8:15 so she could check in and her surgery was around 9:00 or so. The actual surgery was only about 45 minutes, but it took a long time for her to wake up from the anesthesia. I think it was because she had two procedures done: the gall bladder removal and then the hernia repair. She needed to be kept down a bit longer than her previous surgeries. Plus, mom tends to fall asleep easier than a lot of people do.

Right now she's at my aunt's house, resting. It's better this way because my aunt can probably take care of her better than I can. Not that I couldn't, but she can be a bit more attentive and she has a bit more experience in this sort of thing.

I did stop by BAM afterwards to look around, but I saw hide nor hair of either TriMax 9 or 'Buso Renkin'. Curses! foiled again!

I did pick up the paperback version of 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' which must've just been released not that long ago. I also got a copy of 'Shonen Jump' but only for the 43 page 'Yahiko no Sakabatou' that's inside (which I felt should've been in the final volume of Kenshin, but what do I know), and a couple of magazines.

I ate a quick bite at Sonic before heading on home where I'll most likely be staying for the rest of the day. At the moment, I'm doing laundry.

Later on tonight I'm going to settle in with my Veronica Mars and my pizza and have a nice evening to myself. Ahhh, Bliss...

That's great that your mom's surgery went well! =) I'm very happy for her. I get surgery next Tuesday, but for a much less important reason; I have to get my tonsils removed. I'm nervous, but who isn't before surgery? o0; I'd be scared of someone who wasn't nervous.

I didn't see Trimax nine in the Borders Bookstore in town, either, a few days ago. It needs to come out soon, or our bookstores need to get their new merchandise in! D=

One of my friends actually has it. She likes rubbing my nose in it...

Thank you!

Yes, she's doing well, she's just really sore at the moment.

I'm glad that your mom is doing fine.

I've just read the first chapter of Buso Renkin in Vol. 28 of the Kenshin manga. I've been looking for it as well as Volume 14 of Furuba, which I haven't been able to find up here in the sticks yet.

Thanks for letting me know that Yahiko no Sakabatou is in Shonen Jump. Is it in the latest one? I read that once online a very long time ago but would like to have a copy of anything Kenshin-related in my hot little hands. :)

Yeah, I read it in 'Kenshin' 28 myself. But I want to try and support Watsuki-sensei as much as I can.

The volume that 'Yahiko no Sakabatou' is in is the one with Luffy on the cover. There's a little Kenshin on the cover, so you can definitely figure out which one it is.

I rather liked it, myself. Now I just wonder if the 'Kaiden' is ever going to be printed in English?

Do you have the Kenshin Hiden? I was so thrilled to find it in English. I hope the Kaden is translated soon as well.

Hiden? I didn't know there was one?

It's called Rurouni Kenshin Profiles and it came out near the end of last year, I believe. I heard about it in one of the RK LJ communities.

Here's the link on Amazon, but I'm sure that there are other places all over the web that you can find it.

Oh that! I have that as well as the one on FMA.

I kinda wished they had waited until the series ended so that there would've been some info from the Jinchu Arc in there.
