Well, I finished my scarf... almost. I just have to add the fringe and then it'll be completely finished. Now I have to think of something else to work on now. Dare I tackle something larger?
And the cook-out last night was very nice. Someone brought homemade Pita bread chips and hummus. It was pretty good. Actually, the hummus tasted like the refried beans you get from Taco Bell (which isn't bad since I like them). Mom brought coleslaw from Chick-Fil-A that someone had at work. It was pretty good. I'm generally picky about my coleslaw.
And Ch. 130 of Furuba is out.
I'm gonna keep this brief, but I cut it for spoiler purposes.
After Kyo was freed last chapter, it brought about a chain reaction and all the rest of the Jyuunishi were freed as well. I guess the key to the curse breaking was the Cat being accepted by the family and by someone who genuinely loves them. Kyo throws his bracelet aside and both he and Tohru have a tender moment.
We see a flashback to when Tohru was in the hospital and Akito came to visit her. Akito says that she was jealous of Tohru because she had such a beautiful soul. Tohru gets all modest and tells Akito that she also had a beautiful soul. And then she says that she was upset for hurting Akito. That her involvement with the Sohmas, despite the good it did, still caused Akito to be hurt. Akito tells Tohru not to be so stubborn.
We cut to each of the Jyuunishi as they are freed. Ritsu is with his mom, Kisa is playing with Hiro and his little sister, Ayame is at his shop, and he embraces Mine, telling her he was made to love her (awwww). Kagura is out shopping, Haru and Rin are together and they comfort each other (awwww). Shigure is outside somewhere and Hatori goes to see if Akito is OK. Akito is crying, saying that now she's no longer the God, she's just Akito. She feels the God Spirit leave her and she says she didn't know it would hurt so much.
Yuki is on his way to meet Machi, when he's the last one to be freed. He hears the voice of the God Spirit thanking him for being so patient and for keeping his promise. We see a lovely one page shot of the God Spirit with the mouse in his hand and the other animal spirits surrounding him, saying good-bye.
Wow. I don't know what to feel, really. I mean, the curse is broken and the Sohma's are free to go on with their lives as human beings now. It's kinda bittersweet, actually. I mean, I knew the series couldn't continue forever, but I hadn't realized it'd be over so suddenly. But, this has been going on for about 6 or so years and over 100 chapters, so that's a good long run.
I still think there's gonna be one more chapter. I kinda hope it covers what happened to everyone afterwards. What they did. And then there's the final gathering. Hmmmm...
As for today, I have one little place to go and that'll probably be it today. I need to fold the towels sometime today, but that shouldn't take me too long. I also made me some more Star Wars wallpapers and I'm debating on if I should post them or not. Decisions decisions.

Trivia of the day: A cat keeps purring no matter if it is inhaling or exhaling, a baffling accomplishment.
