... and it scared the ever livin' crap out of me. I was coming home from dropping mom off at work. I knew I wasn't speeding, so I rolled the window down. All it was that my right brake light was out (which I knew of course). I told him I was working on trying to get it fixed (which I am). He didn't ticket me or anything, just took my info and stuff. Still, not good for the ol' ticker to see flashing lights in the rear view mirror.
Now, for the main purpose of my post, movie review!! How sad is it whenever you do anything, you automatically make notes of things you're gonna address on your blog. *shakes head*
WARNING!! SPOILER'S FOR 'SUPERMAN RETURNS' FOLLOWS. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ ABOUT A MASSIVE PLOT POINT, DON'T CLICK!!!!
OK, I'm probably not going to do a big paragraph write up because I know I'll blather on and on, so I'm just going to mainly cover certain points I noticed.
Now, don't get me wrong, I loved the movie and I highly suggest going to go and see it for yourselves.
First of all, let me get my shallowness out of the way at the start.
++ Brandon Routh aka Superman aka Clark Kent = HOT!
++ James Marsden aka Richard, Lois' fiance = HOT (but then I've thought this ever since he was first on the show 'Second Noah' so no surprise there).
- OK, Supes needs to consider investing in a security system for his Fortress of Solitude...
- What is with Lex's fashion sense? I mean, the suits were appropriately natty, but he tucks his trousers into his boots? Egads! I mean you have all the money you duped out of some poor widow, pick up a GQ now and then!
+ Lois? Very cute!
-- The dog that ate the other one?! Ewwww!!!
+ And, the coup de gras... little Jason, Lois' son. He's a cutie, but he has a bit of a secret. What is is you may ask? Well, I don't know how many of you remember from 'Superman II' the time when Supes and Lois... eh-HEM, well, a little bit of a surprise came after that. Yes, indeedy Big Red has a son. However, since Lois' memories were erased of that whole thing, she thinks he's Richard's son. We do to... until five-year-old Jason shoves a full sized grand piano at a bad guy, then we sort of get the indication that he's not exactly 'normal.'
However, toward the end of the movie, Superman finds out about his son, but I'm not 100% how. I mean, I don't think Lois remembers their encounter (even though he's the only one who does) and she believes Jason to be Richard's (which brings up a whole new set of questions), so I doubt she'd be the one to tell him. *shrugs* It's probably evident somehow, I'm just missing it.
I wonder if there will be more movies? Like how 'Batman Begins' was the revitalization of the Batman franchise, will this movie revitalize the Superman franchise? I mean, let's face it, III and IV majorly sucked.
ETA: Oh, along with the movie, a preveiw for 'Spider-Man 3' was shown. Two words: KICK ASS!!
Today I have to drop the rent check off and hopefully make a few phone calls. I have a wedding to go to tomorrow, so I have to plan my wardrobe for that as well. Have a pleasant weekend everyone!

Well, if things hadn't changed from last night, this post would've been very emo...
So, what did you think of the movie?
(no subject)
Wow! From a college prof huh? So jealous...

Blah, I haven't been a good TRF student this summer. I should be going to see all these movies, so I can talk intelligentally about them during class next month, but they're so expensive these days, and I don't have the extra money to go see a new movie every week. =/

Is TRF your screen writing class? Summer time generally have the most cool movies playing, so it's hard to try and see everything. There are a few I still haven't seen yet...

I also took a Film class once as well...

And dracschick was right. Lois DID tell Superman that she at least SUSPECTED Jason was his kid... We will never be EXACTLY sure what was said.
However general consensus of the car (this inclueds my dad, Marz and myself) is that Jason also heard whatever was said to Superman and so HE knows as well.
Dad seems to think that Jason is from whichever movie Superman tried to supress his powers and be human. Which according to him is either III or IV (he's leaning towards III) so that would mean Lois MIGHT just remember THAT particular... event.

So, unless she suddenly regained her memories, she wouldn't have remembered.
However, what your dad said was plausible since if Jason could throw a Grand Piano, he probably has enhanced hearing as well...
