snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Kyo -- present (ceruleansan))
Ugh. Yesterday I was trying real hard not to have an anxiety attack. Time is inching by closer and closer to when we have to be out of here, and yet we don't know if our apartment will be ready in time. I hate this not knowing crap. I've had to much of it already...

Anyway, onto my weekend. The Retreat was very nice. I enjoyed myself quite a bit. I didn't stay as long for this one as I did the last one because we weren't in charge of a craft so we didn't need to be there for both weekends. The speaker wasn't too bad. Then again, I'm not one for speakers anyway... The songs were pretty good. They played grandma's favorite hymn (which tied into the theme) and it was very emotional for mom and I. I really like the nighttime activities the most. There was a movie and a hayride. And there's a new fire pit too. If I had known about it ahead of time, I might've brought some marshmallows for roasting. I did go on the hayride. It was a lot of fun. I love doing that sort of thing. Afterwards, I went to finish the rest of the movie that was showing. It was 'The Secret Garden' (the theme of the retreat was a garden theme), which I hadn't seen in quite a while. I always really liked it. The next day (Sunday), there was a short morning session and then there was more 'classes'. We went to the grieving class. It was pretty interesting, although it was mostly stuff I had heard before when I was volunteering at the Berevement Group. I had only bought a couple of things when I was there, so I was pretty proud of myself. Usually I tend to buy a ton of stuff.

Today I have what seems like a million things to do. I need to go back to the temp agency and drop my resume off since I don't know if they got it when I e-mailed them. Then I have to go to the bank, maybe get something to eat, drop by this office where I may have to sub for a friend of ours and then get some grocery items. Which is partially why I started early today.

Fandom stuff has been relatively quiet so far. I mean, I keep checking, but nothing new has come to the stores as of yet, so I don't get anything. I did join the TOWNL forum (mostly so I could see the Mikami cover of DN 11). I just need to find a sig banner and an icon for it and I think I'll be set. While I'm out today, I may look to see what's out by now.

[livejournal.com profile] xskadi, [livejournal.com profile] zelamenomiko do you know if the latest chapter of SDK has been released yet and I missed it? Since things seem to be winding down, I just want to make sure I'm caught up on everything...

Later on today, mom and I plan on hauling more stuff out to the storage place. And eventually this week I need to burn some backup files from my computer so that I can have them just in case something goes wrong (GodIHopenot) when we move.

Trivia of the day: Birds may travel great distances on their migrations. The Arctic Tern travels from the top of the world - the Arctic, to the bottom - the Antarctic, round trip in a single year - 25,000 miles in all!

I know that feeling of time slowly creeping closer and closer and my anxiety is topping out right now as well. I have to get storage because my house isn't going to be ready by the time I need it and have to move out.

Good luck dear. I'll be thinking of you.

Ahhh, so we're in the exact same boat. I mean, my aunt said we could stay with them for a week, but she's allergic to cats and we have three. So we have no idea where we're going to put them. It's too expensive to board them for that length of time...

*angst*

Perhaps a friend can take care of them for a little while? Or maybe ask the Humane Society if they would hold them there (for however much a day) until you could move into your house? I don't know if that's done, but it's worth a shot.

I completely understand your angst. GAH. I hope yours gets better along with mine really soon!

I'd rather leave them with a friend. I wouldn't want to take my chances with them at the Humane Society. I guess I'm just being paranoid...

I know that chapter 306 has been released, and we're all anxiously awaiting chapter 307 (which is going to The Last Chapter *bawls* in SDK). It may or may not be out by this evening. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, because 306 ending HORRIBLY! *cries fidgets spazzes*

Glad to hear that your Retreat was nice, and good luck with the pending move! I pray your apartment is ready in time.

Thanks! So do I. It's mostly where we're gonna put the cats. My aunt said we could stay with her, but she's allergic to cats and we can't afford to board them for that length of time...
