snapdragon76: Did I mention that I like reading? (books)
Well, here we are, my third week of school and things are going pretty good so far. I have to tell myself not to get too ahead of myself and panic about stuff and to take things one project at a time. I have no doubt that a number of my classmates are way ahead of me, but as long as I get things done by the deadline, I’ll be fine. Going to the public library for a few hours a week helps since it provides fewer distractions than at home.

I did start going to the gym again this week. It may take me only one or two days a week for around an hour or so, but it’s progress!! I just need to be disciplined and stick with it.

My dad and stepmom will be coming later on next week and stay for a little over nine days. I’m looking forward to them visiting, since it’ll get me out of the house more. Due to the timing, I think if I can get my assignments for the next two weeks finished earlier in the week, I can have more time to spend with them and not worry about school stuff.

I was able to get my brakes fixed finally! A former co-worker of mom’s whom she keeps in contact with on Facebook had her husband stop by (who used to be a mechanic) and take care of them. It’s so nice to have brakes again! And according to him, it was none too soon since one of the brake rotors was worn down so thin that if I had driven on them for much longer, I’d have had a blowout! Yikes!

Now, tomorrow, mom is getting tires for her car so we can at least move it to the garage so that the HOA will stop putting notices on it threatening to tow it. There is still something wrong with it that we haven’t pinpointed yet, but I hope we can get it figured out soon so that I can have my car to myself once again.

That’s all there is for now. Things have been a little busy with school and all so I hope to be able to keep updated soon.
