snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Default)
Actually there were much more than just two, but just go with me here.

Saturday we went to a Ladies Tea hosted by one of the ladies at church. It was very nice. I've been to other teas hosted by her, but they were usually more intimate and this time there were over 20 ladies present. I had an enjoyable time, though. Afterwards, we did a few minor errands (since we were out and mom and I were basically shanghaied... so to speak). Later on that evening, my uncle and my cousin came with us to eat dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We called ahead, but we still had to wait quite a bit once we got there. My aunt who lives down here was getting a little annoyed. But, eventually we were seated and placed our order. I also ordered an apple-tini because I was curious to how it tasted. It wasn't too bad, actually. I'll be posting pictures of it further on down (as well as some random ones.

Sunday we had a dinner for my grandmother's birthday (which is today, actually) and my cousin's (which is Wednesday). It was just hamburgers on the grill, but it was still pretty good. We had strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Before I get to the picture post, I will say that Friday I spent a great deal of time making the covers for the Shikito fan mix [livejournal.com profile] flamika made. Being my first, it wasn't too bad actually. I told [livejournal.com profile] miyabita13 I'd post them on here, so I shall.

Front Cover

Back Cover

Not too bad for my first time.

Now that that's out of the way, it's picture time!!

My new hat I bought

It looked too terrible, so I didn't post it...

And the disarray my room was in when I reorganized. Note the cat atop everything.

That's all for now! Later on I hope to go to the bookstore and get a few books I saw and wanted.

Trivia of the day: Brazil shares a common border with all South American countries, except Ecuador and Chile.

Yeah. I love stuff like that.

The ones withthe tea cup and the martini glass I'm thinking of iconizing...

Yup. I love it. I only take it off when I shower.

Nice fanmix art! Are you posting to [livejournal.com profile] fanmix?

Pshaw, your room isn't bad at all. You should see my room!

Very nice pics, I never really could enjoy those apple or flavored martinis, but the restraunts in jax not the best in the world. Is Texas roadhouse any good?

BTW it has been awhile, I took sort of a hiatus when school and other things started back up and got lost in the commotion. Hope all has been well with you and the weather warmer than it is up here!

p.s. I think a contest on the messiest room should be made, mine is much more disorganized!!!

No, since I wasn't the one who made it. I just made a cover for my copy of it.

Well, it's not like that all the time. That wsa just when I was in the middleof reorganizing stuff.

Thank you. It wasn't too bad, actually. I'm not a big drinker so most drinks taste the same to me. I guess I like the fruity stuff becasue I usually order a screwdriver. What is it with me and vodka drinks?

That'sOK. I know how hectic RL can be, especially with school and everything...

Things have been decent with me and the weather hasn't been too bad. It'sbeen both warm and cool, but that's typical for this time of year.

Well, mine isn't usually like that. I had ben aquiring more stuff and I had to rearrange things so I could find room for it. This is only my temporary room anyway.

Ah ok. Still, nice covers!

That explains it. ;)

I'll ask the girl who did them if she'd concider it, though. She made two other ones, too.

Glad to clarify. Besides, I think I'd find it awfully difficult to sleep if I had that stuff on my bed all the time!

*chuckles at icon*

Heh, I suppose I shouldn't read the list of pastries when I'm hungry. But the tea house itself looks really cute. (We don't have anything like that where I live.) Oh, and you look really pretty in that picture! ^_^ (Heh, I will not post any more pictures of myself until I get some good ones... which probably won't be for many years -_-;; )

I'm glad you made the covers! They look great! ^_^ *hugs* Hope you're having a great day!

It wasn't a restaurant. It was actually at a residence. In fact, they just finished laying new tile out on the back porch (where we were).

Actual tea houses, we only have one, which I've been to once. It was pretty nice.

That picture was one of the better ones. The one with me and the hat looked horrid, so I refuse to post it.

And I'm glad you like the covers. I'll try not to be too critical about them as I am wont to do...

Yep, no need to be critical! I can tell you worked hard on them! Good job! ^^ *thumbs up*

Thanks. I tend to compare my stuff with stuff that others do and think, "You know, that really kinda sucks." But then, most of the others have been doing it a lot longer than I have...
