snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Akito lookin' pretty (kawaiiayu))
OK, it seems I've gotten to the point where I might have to spill the beans about Akito to Stampers. Normally I'd be willing to wait until it came out in the English volumes, but since that's a fair ways away and she's begun asking questions, I might have to break down and do it. I did tell [livejournal.com profile] elantis, and she's very good at keeping it secret. Of course, I did make her take a blood oath... ~_^

I think my speakers might be working again... somewhat. *sighs in frustration* I wish they'd cooperate more...

I think I'm getting to the point at work where I might have to come into work and hour or so earlier for something called 'cycle counting.' I think it has something to do with visual inventory and it needs to be done before the shop opens. *flails*

And now, meme time!

LJ Interests meme results

  1. anime:
I've been into anime for over 4 years or so. I remember I got into it due to 'InuYasha.' Now, I'm not one of those RIF's but I still enjoy it from time to time. Needless to say, my facination has only grown as evidenced by my growing collection.
  2. calhoun/shelby:
Two of the main characters from 'Star Trek New Frontier.' Also one of my favorite pairings (my other one from this series isn't exactly canon... yet {read further down}). They're so much fun to read about. They act like a normal couple with disagreements and such, but that's what makes them great. They seem so real.
  3. csi:
One of my favorite shows. I almost never miss an episode. It's one of the shows mom and I watch together on a weekly basis. My grandmother knows not to call when it's on.
  4. haru/rin:
From 'Fruits Basket'. Ysa was the one who really got me to 'ship them. Of course, it doesn't hurt that she writes such excellent fan fic about them. So much angst and drama, but they're so devoted to each other and love each other so deeply.
  5. inuyasha/kagome:
Another one of my 'ships. Probably one of my first ones, actually. There are times when I just wanna say, "Just confess how you two feel for each other already!" But of course, that's not gonna happen until the end of the series. At least, I hope it does.
  6. mars:
The manga series, not the planet. I was never really into shojo, but this was one of the early ones that got me interested in the whole genre. Typical story. Good girl falls for bad boy. The art is absolutely lovely and the characters are very compelling.
  7. samurai champloo:
Ahh, Sam Cham. A series about two hot looking bad asses fighting baddies... and, on occasion, each other. Toss in a girl and some wacky storylines (along with some ass whuppin' action) and you have the makings of one hot show! Oh, and I have a serious crush on Jin...
  8. star trek new frontier:
A book series written by Peter David. Strictly a novel series, it follows the adventures of a somewhat cavalier captain and his crew. Their lives, loves and space battles with a dash of humor mixed in. Truly excellent. A definite must read (and I'm not just saying that because I run a community for it).
  9. vash/meryl:
Probably my number one 'ship. I just love them! I can't even remember when I first started 'shipping them, but I've been doing it hard core for a looong time. I even made a community dedicated to them. There's just so much I love about these two together. They bring out the best (and sometimes worst) in each other. *squee*
  10. xyon/soleta:
*giggles* Probably my #1 'ship from the 'Star Trek New Frontier' series (just barely beating out Calhoun/Shelby). Xyon is Calhoun's son and Soleta is the former science officer from the Excaliber. I never really started 'shipping them until I read 'After the Fall' and they shared a scene together and shared such chemistry. Now he just needs to get over his old girlfriend and everything will be all set... *rubs hands together in wicked glee*

Oh, I also wanted to ask-- 'cause I know you like to make icons-- if you wanted me to put online some of the pages that I've scanned of "Double Time" (the NF comic). In case you ever get the urge to icon. (No pressure, of course. They're just sitting around on my desktop and my icon skills are like, nonexistent, so I thought you might like them.)

That'd be great! It'd save me having to scan some myself...

In fact, when I was contemplating making this icon, I was gonna use images from the comic, but then I found this image on a website and decided to use it.
