snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Jin -- teh hotness (????))
I think I may have figured out why my computer is so slow in the mornings. If mom's been on it before, she leaves it on for me later on. While I appreciate it, it kinda goes to sleep and doesn't really want to 'wake up.' So yesterday I restarted it and it seemed to do better. Also, my Virus Protection seems to be wanting to scan every time. I made sure I did a full scan the other day so maybe it wouldn't do it anymore. But it still does. *sighs in exasperation*

I splurged a little yesterday. I bought the first three DVD's of 'SamCham'. The fourth one is supposed to be out already and the fifth one is coming soon. I also went to the bookstore for a bit and I saw a new book I want. It's a Star Wars book, but it's not a novel. It's going on my growing Christmas list...

I watched a few episodes of Fushigi Yuugi again in the original Japanese this time. It was different. I'm not used to watching anime in Japanese. I know, I know I'm not considered by many to be a true anime fan, but who cares. But I told [livejournal.com profile] elantis I would watch it in Japanese and I am.

I've been slogging through some old posts on CLASP so I can copy some of my posts onto Word. I wanted to get some of them copied down yesterday, but I didn't have time. But I did make progress in that I'm very close to where I left off...

I took my shower last night so I wouldn't have to worry about it this morning. Plus it gives me more time in the morning for being on here...

ooh... purple! (getting distracted again)

Anywho...

You are a "true" anime fan. I don't care what language you watch anything in, as long as you enjoy it when you watch it. Though I am very glad you are at least watching a few series/episodes in Japanese. As you can see there is QUITE a difference. ( Mom didn't realize that until she watched Fruits Basket in Japanese and now she perferes anime that way) Though pay attention to what others say about certain things and you'll notice which series is good to watch in both and which you can skip.

And on a similar note... You having only watched most of your anime in English have picked up on more minor details of characters and plots than alot of people I know who are more "hardcore" anime fans than either of us are. Keep THAT in mind as well.

As for your antivirus problem... go into the program and see if there isn't a "daily checkup" time set and change it to a time when you figure no one will be on it and that should get rid of that problem.

So you like the purple?

Yeah, I know I consider myself a true anime fan, but I've heard some people just rip into people simply because they watch (and enjoy) thier anime in English. Me, I just roll my eyes at them...

Hmmm, I never really thought of that... Maybe it has something to do with paying attention to what's going on rather than the subtitles.

I've never heard it. I swiped it from someone who used it to caption a picture on one of the forums I belong to.

So it's a song?

and a good one sung by Jo Dee Masina (sp?) a woman who plays a mean guitar (like Melissa Etheridge--I also like her). Though Masina's sort of country in sound, I do like her music:)

I've heard of Jo Dee, but I'm not much of a Country/Western afficianado...
