My icons I posted yesterday seem to have been a hit. That makes me happy. And elantis says she's a fan of the characters! Yayness! Pssst, Emi. There are a few communities and websites about them I can point you towards if you like...

And I know I'm a full-fledged icon maker when I see various magazines and such and go, "I want the font they used for that." I do that with the 'Firefly' opening credits, too.

I was gonna post a pic I took of socks from Japan on here, but my Image Transfer is being uncooperative today. *grrr* A lady we know who goes to our church went to visit her husband who has a gig over there for a few months and she saw them and got them for me. I'm not going to wear them mostly because they're too small for me and also because I don't want to ruin them. One pair is a pair of tabi socks (you know, with the split toe). Once I get my IT to work, I'll post the pic.

Ysa, I came across a book that might be of interest for you. It's called The Roots of Desire: The Myth, Meaning and Sexual Power of Red Hair By Marion Roach. I figure you might be interested in it since you're a red-head at heart.

My Trimax is being slow in getting to me. I guess I've been spoiled by Tokyopop who's usually so prompt. Darn you Things From Another World (Dark Horse's distributor)!! I guess if I wanted to pay a whoooole lot more, I could get it quicker, but I'm far too cheap.

And I got RK 17 yesterday!! Whoo! We're thisclose to the start of the Jinchuu Arc!

I wonder if the image that was used was based on his (brief) apperance in the OAV?

*shakes head* No, it's based purely off the manga. There are several pictures of him done cell style but based off his manga persona and not the OAV because these came out long before the OAV was made. Plus the character design is completely different and more TV series like than OAV as well. Not to mention the color of his clothes.

Oh, good. His apperance in the OAV was disapointing. In fact, the entire OAV was disapointing. I only bought it because it touched upon the Jinchuu Arc (but not accurately however). I'll be looking for the manga version (which is coming very soon in English! Eeeee!!)

I flat out refuse to even acknowlede that the second OAV series exists. Especially after I heard how they ended it and that Watsuki himself was rather pissed about it (that's based off second hand info, so I don't know how accurate the info is). Yeeee! manga version manga version! *drool*

Yeah, they completly ruined Kenshin's character. I only bought it because I wanted to see how they handled Enishi's story. Like I said, not very well. Now I'm kinda sorry I did...
