snapdragon76: this is made of win and awesome (Blue Hatori)
Well, the job fair yesterday was a bit lame. It was pretty small and there weren't very many venues. A lot of technical places, medical, colleges, cellular phone companies, military recruiters, and the like. Nothing that really said, "Hey, we have your future career here!!" And I'm not just saying that because I'm freaked about going into the work force (which, admitidly, a part of me is). So I'm gonna check into seeing if I can find any career councelors or something. Of course, if they charge a lot... forget it!! I mean, I'm job hunting on a budget here.

Of course, if I find a job at either one of the bookstores I applied to or even at the guitar place, I'll be happy.

And... I was able to go to the bank yesterday and find I have enough to pay the cable bill and still allow for a bit of cushioning as well. So no SamCham this month, but next month baby... Jin will be mine!!! *laughs sinisterly*

Oh, my car seems to be doing a bit better. Mom added some anti-freeze/coolant (with the proper mixture of distiled water), and it seems to be doing the trick. I'm still gonna baby it for a bit, though.

While I was out, I bought SDK 15 (finally). We meet... Tokito! Of course, at this time, no one knows the 'real' truth... but I do, for once! Ha!

Go to your local employment centre and they can tell you your options. They may even have career counsellors there for free.

Nothing that really said, "Hey, we have your future career here!!"

Your first job is not necessarily going to be in your ideal career. Most people start out in jobs that are not their ideal, but they learn and grow from those jobs, and those lead to other opportunities. You will get to your ideal career/job eventually (if you know what that is), but you have to be patient and take what you can in the meantime.

Yeah, I'm beginning to find that out...

Good. :) It makes it much easier to find a job when you lower your expectations about what you want from it. Just know that you'll get where you want to be eventually.

You might wanna try applying to a temp agency, too. They can find temporary jobs that'll help pay bills while also providing you with much needed experiance.

Good luck! *hugs*

Ahh, you must be the mystery poster then... ;)

Yeah, I'm looking into various local employment agencies.
